This guy is seriously the consummate professional; not only a brilliant guitar player, but such a nice and humble guy who treats his fans so well. Love you Jeff!
0:25 - Shouting fire at a funeral 5:27 - Jato Unit 24:55 - Mercurial 29:49 - The Ultimatum 41:23 - Sibylline Origin 45:43 - Miles of Machines I've been listening to this songs for almost a decade and still my favorites !! \m/
I have never seen/heard such a great guitarist like Jeff Loomis who performs his songs so perfectly like the studio record. I'd like to see him with Andy James on stage!!
thank you for uploading this! He pretty much says what I often see on youtube. Young guitarists who practice so hard to get some tight fast picking and sweep techniques and everything but kinda skipped the basic stuff like vibrato and bending technique. So kids, don't forget your vibrato technique, it's ultimately the most important solo technique.
WTF planet does this guy come from? Jeff Loomis is so fun to listen to. Even though he comes from the same sweeping "harmonic minor camp" that Yngwie does I still find Loomis much more interesting to listen to. I like Yngwie but find that you can take a solo out of one song and drop it into another song and it's hard to tell the difference much the way EVHs solos are interchangeable.
Jeff is a truly amazing player and very down-to-earth. Credit where it's due also, this was a great crowd. They were very respectful, they listened, and they asked some great questions.
i met him backstage in 2012 during the last tour with nevermore, they toured with symphony x ,this man is just respectfull so gentle and kind, as mickael romeo was too, one of my best meeting with a guitar's god
He looks like a real nice guy. If I played as him, I would be happy man as well , instead of a frustrated guitar player. Same as P Gilbert, both great player and the coolest guys around!
Just watched the whole thing through and through and i must say, besides form beeing a musicial genious you really seem like a nice guy! I love all your songs man, keep up the good work!
Jeff played the tony macalpine's solo perfectly, into the song: "The ultimatum"!!!!!IT'S UNBELIEVABLE!!!(around 33-34 minutes).he's fucking amazing this guy!!!
I bought the Engl he used for his Australia clinics. After his last clinic in Cairns it was left at Billy Hyde's for sale. Still got his settings on the dials. Didn't make me play any better though.
Our jeff loomis you play guitar too, you're the best, is very virtuoso guitarist, has a talent and very much wanted you to use that talent offering to God. But I'm your number one fan I really like your style of music. I'm from Brazil really wanted you to come here one day, and you want to see another virtuoso John Petrucci on guitar together.
I got crushed when he said it takes years to get the vibrato right. I know it's tough and I'm working on it but years? C'mon. For real? I'm 37 and just started out. I'm not 5 anymore. I want it yesterday not in years lol
Practice your vibrato everyday. Make a tape with all your favorite player's vibrato and play along with them as a guide. Have a friend with good vibrato critique you. It should only take a few weeks if you do it like this.
FACT:Jeff Loomis tried out for lead guitar during megadeth so far so good so what era but bc he was only 16 dave mustaine turned him down and that's when jeff told marty friedman about the audition..
Fly in from a helicopter, parachute down on top of the roof. Go inside air vent. Crawl your way through into the toilets. Come out when toilets are empty. Shake off at the urinal and casually walk out the door into the bar.
Dude is so insane, check out his work with Keith Merrow, Love Sibylline Origin and Jato Unit so much man..... FUCKING shit Lucifer could not even keep him in his band, some men were black smiths, Loomis is a Lick Smith, he forges them from wood. Riff Raff MCGEE

Ok, the dude is a BADASS guitar player, he basically did everything on his solo albums, he plays piano, and now he can growl? I'm done.
I love the attitude and attack of his playing. Amazing!!!!
his work on Nevermore and Arch Enemy is unbelievable
Hung out with Jeff so mellow and down to earth. Would love to just sit and watch him writing music and just noodling aimlessly I bet it mind blowing!
JEFF IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!! HE'S AMAZING!

Started watching this and couldn't stop. Amazing how modest and down to earth he is despite his epic talent.

Реально бог своего дела ! Удивительная музыка !
The part that starts just after 8:20 reminds me of the part in This Godless Endeavor that starts at 7:09.
Jeff loomis is coming to my town but i cant go because its in a bar, and im too young.
Any ways you guys can think of to sneak in?
It's actually Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb. That is of course if he still uses the same tuning as he did in his Nevermore days.
After dimebag it's Loomis.
Facts
Very heavy yeah ^^
I got crushed when he said it takes years to get the vibrato right. I know it's tough and I'm working on it but years? C'mon. For real? I'm 37 and just started out. I'm not 5 anymore. I want it yesterday not in years lol
Should picked up guitar almost 25 years ago dude.
Practice your vibrato everyday. Make a tape with all your favorite player's vibrato and play along with them as a guide. Have a friend with good vibrato critique you. It should only take a few weeks if you do it like this.
Wow...
His vibrato sounds like a fucking unicorn mating with a panda....so epic.
i'm trying to envision that in my head and i'm just cracking up haha
5:41 Jeff: " betcha cant play this fu**ers" : D
4:59 That riff is dope
He asked "What do you think of the Axe FX and do you use it?"
What's the name of first song?
Great video. I feel like I am in the front row, but I'm half a world away. Thanks very much for posting.
Jesus fucking christ that play of Mercurial
You can tell Loomis listens to a ton of Vinnie Moore. Even down to how he phrases the speed of bends and uses his Floyd.
I always thought this guy was norwegian
nice guitar
That's probably due to the fact that the camera was being held from a guy standing in the front row. :P
Shouting fire at the funeral. :-)
How he tunes his guitar?
He will do an album with Keith Merrow! Fuck yeah :D
Seven strings of vampire!
FACT:Jeff Loomis tried out for lead guitar during megadeth so far so good so what era but bc he was only 16 dave mustaine turned him down and that's when jeff told marty friedman about the audition..
how the fuck did people dislike this?

try to get in with an adult, that may work
Sorry but Arch enemy doesn’t deserve him. 😬
