I really appreciate the new Close Quarters video format. When the first vid launched I wasn't crazy about the interviews, it felt too forced but this just looks like four friends sitting down to have fun. Love watching your games, hope you guys keep up the good work!
Yeah I’m like the command zone, it didn’t really fit Mitch and his friends in this format. But on any interviews I would love to see maybe short companion videos to each of these episodes where the four of them sit around the table after the game and talk about the game how it went and things going through their minds and what not. That way we can still get the thoughts of each player without having to interrupt the flow
Yeah, with a lord effect like lord of the unreal that's busted synergy! Infinite activations of the 0 ability to give all his creatures hexproof. Then any tribal card is not only protected but super-powered like the dwarf commander and the vampire!!! That was a great showing from his deck!!!!
Seems the deck is reliant on this one card though, right? Looking through the deck list, I feel there isn't enough ways to protect Mirror's Entity from removal rendering the deck rather useless once inevitably removed.
@@daaim0 the deck has maskwood nexus, volatile claws that serves similar purpose, and it has dusk dawn, immortal servitude, and return to the ranks to return the shapeshifter back from the dead
She certainly is, played it for the first time on spelltable and was like this is disgusting. Dude's excuse for playing it in casual was that it wasn't part of the cEDH meta anymore

This is 100% my favourite iteration of commander games on TH-cam. No cringe, great quality and legit chemistry between players. Keep up the great work guys 🥰
I had a feeling this game was over the moment Eddie was allowed to go 12 deep with the Curiosity Crafter and nobody had a way to try and deal with that.
I like where the series is going. You guys have warmed up in front of the camera and it's nice to see the flow of your banter, which gets more comfortable from episode to episode. The audio is also better, it's preferable to have the laughter clip than to not be able to hear half of what is being said. However, there is a somewhat worrying gameplay trend of Eddie not getting punished enough for accruing disproportionate card advantage. While the Captivating Vampire was scary when it came down, the threat changed quite quick once twelve cards were drawn in one combat step. It was honestly perplexing to watch everyone comment how gross the Seedborn Muse steal was once it happened as Eddie quietly nursed a 30+ card grip.
Not considering hand size when assessing threats is a huge lapse in judgement. It's honestly tilting to watch this be repeated this many times. Banter good, gameplay frustrating.
Congrats to Eddie for winning, big fan of the channel, love the gameplay and the Mitch's budget decks and previews. This helps me become a better magic player. 😁

Wow, Alek and I have a very similar deck! Only difference is mine has a lot more changelings and less lords, just in case Mirror Entity or Maskwood Nexus are destroyed. Alek, if you read this, you should add Yuriko, the Tigers Shadow! It's a great win condition/card advantage engine. That's usually how I finish off the game.
I love the game and enjoy seeing the decks in action. I would ask you to reconsider the constant cutting to intertitles every time someone searches for something. I think you can edit it without breaking up the flow. The gaming table aesthetics are great as well and I enjoy how you are all so close framed really well.
Seems like Mith decks are really fun, but really friendly has a big price. Camon Mitch get some powerful deck to the table you always can be bigger than five colors with one or two colors. The series is awesome keep the good work rolling!

I realize this video is old but ZIRDA! YES IT'S ZIRDA! I love my Zirda/Codie deck. Used to be a Golos/Zirda until it was banned but I honestly think that the Codie version is more fun anyway. Less mindlessly activating Golos.
I know this is a late comment and I might be wrong because I’m not the best at magic but wouldn’t Eddy’s curiosity crafter only draw him one card per creature that deals combat damage? I only ask because the text is similar to the shaman of the great hunt where one counter is put on a creature who does combat damage to a player… so how are those abilities different? Is there something I’m not seeing? Both cards are shown around minute 19:00 for reference
17:55 Mirror Entity says that your creatures have X/X and all creatures until end of turn. So if you activate it's ability for 0, your creatures will all die, because they become 0/0 with all creature types Edit: Nvm, one of his creatures gives 1+1
I had to do a double take when Linvala came out. I thought "There's no activated ability on that card" but then I read the bottom of it and realized that Zirda doesn't require it to be an ability with Tap in the cost.
Man, as soon as Eddie pulled that token trick with Curiosity Crafter the first time, he should've immediately been identified the top threat. These games are fun, but its kinda nuts to me how often this pod sleeps on Eddie just accruing value and staying nonchalant until he can just win in a single turn (basically).
This series is wonderful, but may I suggest something? I think some light background music would be really nice, sometimes it feels like there is an empty void.

Brudiclad is one of my personal favorite decks to play! I can go from no threat to BOOM now i have 20 wurmcoil engines with haste
Unless you are making 15+ tokens in one turn you were the threat as soon as you had 5+ tokens (from a fellow Brudiclad player).
