    I'd use the Purge warning when they closed! My wife would insist I turned the Purge sound off. She would win. I will still try it because it will be super cool.

    Ryobi has these awsome usb c rechargeable batteries now that would be great to go around charging the smart wing.

      That's what I use on the ones that don't have sunlight to charge. A simple power bank. I have found these need the USB A to C cable as they don't have the right chip to signal the usb c voltage needed.

    On the smartwings blinds, is the fabric centered in the window - or offset to one side a little due to motor placement?

    • @digiblurDIY
      @digiblurDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is offset a little more on one side to fit in the charging port but it isn't a whole lot. You can add the blackout strips

    How loud are these mechanisms? I’d like to get some for the bedroom but not if they’re overly noisy.

    • @digiblurDIY
      @digiblurDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not too bad. They probably sound louder on video. You can hear them in the same room though. I have a sound meter I can check with. I found the Smart wings ones were quieter as I the metal front panel on the Yoolax would vibrate at times.

    Hi Travis, I just received the same zigbee version but it came with no instructions at all. Were you able to pair straight to zigbee network or did you have to pair to app first? How did you put the blinds in pairing mode? TIA

    • @digiblurDIY
      @digiblurDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      I paired it up with the zigbee network I had setup already, I put my Zigbee network in pairing and held down the button on the blinds for 5 seconds or so.

      @@karenmitchell6814 what digiblurDIY said. USB C POE splitter. If you go this route, grab a spare or two. Some come in multi-packs. Blinds will still be controlled like normal and POE splitter will keep the battery inside charged up (just like the solar panel would).
