I'm glad to see this. Interesting rifle. Don't see many Brnos around. Had a friend that had a Brno O/U shotgun that was sweet. I have been an avid shooter and hunter since I was 15 years old or so. I've had to stop hunting due to an injury and can no longer shoot rifles or shotguns comfortably. Still shoot handguns when my hands will let me but have to do most all shooting while sitting in a chair. I've loaded all my ammo since the mid '80s and except for .22lr, I probably haven't bought more than 100 rds of factory since then. Thanks for sharing this. Thx Grumpy. We both started hunting at a similar age by the sounds of it though I’m not quite 50 yet so you have a few years on me. Yes it is a great rifle. I really like the set trigger. I will do more, might do my Parker-Hale .243 next time. I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. I find it really encouraging 👍
No problem my RC Friend. I have/had many hobbies and hunting/shooting was, when I could actually do it, one of my all time favorites. I'm no collector and have no really high dollar toys but each one has a place in my heart, some good and some bad. I have a Dan Wesson that I purchased new around 1997 just as they went bankrupt. There is a good story in it and I'm thinking about doing a video on it soon. The Parker sounds interesting and I'd love to see it showcased.👌👍👍

Thanks for the prompt Response Really Grateful. Basically I am a Shotgun Hunter but I have little knowledge about Rifles. I am taking lessons on MOA/ Mildots. I am a member of a prestigious Gun & Country Club Of Pakistan. 1) The terrain is rough Semi-Mountainous, and sometimes difficult to track/ approach the Big Game here we mostly hunt Bighorn Sheep & Wild Boars. Bighorns are usually 400-600 yards away however wild boars are mostly at much closer ranges. At Club I do have the facility of Target Shooting as well. Seeking your guidance please. Presently I have Bushnell Banner 3-9*40 mounted on it but I need your recommendation for scope. I use Serbian Bullet 130 grains. I had a chance on Bighorn at about 600 yards but I Missed it Very closely probably due to lack of knowledge about Rifles. Once Again Thanks & Kind Regards.
I would definitely be looking at something stronger than 3-9x40 scope if you are shooting that far. The Bushnell scopes are good scopes but I'm not sure if they do a decent scope up in mid 20's magnification. For those distances, I would go for this www.leupold.com/scopes/rifle-scopes/vx-3i-lrp-8-5-25x50mm-30mm-side-focus-mil-rfp from Leupold as it is great at long distances and has the Mil adjustments your are learning about. Downside it is that it is expensive. Tasco also do some competitively priced scopes and I would suggest at least the 6-24x42 www.tasco.com/products/index.aspx?ClassID=13&FamilyID=162&ProductID=665 as it is about $1000 cheaper than the Leupold, though Leupold is better quality for sure and we all have a budget. Tasco is a 25mm tube opposed to the 30mm from Leupold. The Leupold is also a 50mm objective opposed to the Tasco's 42mmm. Bigger is better at longer distances. Are you handloading and if so what powder are you using? Personally, I would be shooting a 150gn projectile as it will give you more bullet stabilisation which could be important as the winds push up and around the mountains. Heavier bullets also have a higher ballistic coefficient which makes them better for long-range (typically). I would have no issue shooting 130gn out to 200m-300m and for sheep, I think it would be fine. Boar however at that range I would want 150gn for sure. If your rifle shoots like mine then it will shoot 150gn projectiles no problem at all, in fact, you might find it shoots them better. I have never seen a Serbian bullet so can't comment on that specifically, but the Remmington Core-lokt is very good and underrated, though I am a big fan of Nosler as well which I use in my 7mm/08 (Video to come soon). I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have and give my opinion. Others might see it differently, but that's my view.
