This is the first time I had to go in and mess with the "settings" on the characters to beat this boss
Great tip! Your stun/fire/poison build easily got me through the final boss on Expert.
You can make it so Alain only uses Calvary slayer when Galerius is stunned so he cant use the heal move in retaliation to the guard seal. Once you realize everything revolves around stun for this battle, its easy.
you are a lifesaver man! He was such a pain to deal with.
The 3 great knights is the simplest way IMO
Ok because i asked in reddit and i checked on the video:
Compounding curse only works on debuffs, not dots. Also compounding does mot stack either, so its probable best to see if the druid could do something else *if* your not planning to use them for galerius if debuffing itself is not needed

Just used the generic team (slightly edited by me, putting the frontline units- nigel and shield angel w/e- in the front and the rest in the back and some slight tactics really nothing big brained lol... but that unit did most of my damage than I just went in with Alain and his chosen as you need the ring of the maiden and unicorn to finish him off. I was just shocked that the generic Nigel unit did better than lots of my other units would have done! lol

Make sure Rosalinde goes first if anyone else goes first he will automatically put up his shield! Give her dove and dark pendants!
Just finished this on expert today, and I didn't have to change anything on my teams. Just having the Augur was good enough, but it was still a close call. I'm not so sure if TZ will make it much more difficult for me, because I already played without items and ashes on my expert playthrough. Hoping for a difficulty increase patch, but I'll probably do a TZ run regardless since I loved the game overall.
The best way to make it harder is to restrict classes. I think the elf ladies are to strong but beyond that no mounted units is a great way to change how you tackle maps

Probably not as that fight felt like 10x easier to me personally. Just aoe nuke like I've done in a few vids works well
That one's more about just using the tools the game gives you, like "use this to beat Baltro."

How did you get to him with so much time left on the clock. I find clearing out the whole map takes 3/4 of the time given.
After you beat the battle you can skip right to this fight.
It’s not a special galerius thing, active steal always only takes 1 ap

@@purplatypus7405 Yeah. I remember playing this fight blind and had to change up Nigel's Party to put him in my main Alain Team.
@@purplatypus7405 after getting inspiration from your guide, I was having this problem as well, but if you drain all his PP before his first turn your good to go. The Featherbow's Saint' Shot will drain 2 PP from the boss, Alain's Cavalry Slayer is 1 so all you need is 1 more sorce for the third.
Edit: So apparently Passive steal will drain 2 points, meaning If you do this without Alain all you need is a Featherbow and a Rogue to completely drain his PP.
So..... apparently Passive Steal does exactly what is says in it's description and steals ALL of the boss' PP so you don't even need the Featherbow. You can put the Rogue on Active Steal duty after the first round or if you can effectively stun lock the boss, you can give him a Searing Rapier so he can add to the burn stacks with Fire Slash. You can still use the Featherbow for at start of combat stun with the Bow of Swiftness' Rapid Shot and to reduce the boss' defense with Photon Arrow.

What a nightmarish fucking difficulty spike for 1 fucking level. Dumb shit, literally almost ruined the entire game for me, spent an hour trying him now, nothing works. Great, so shit I've used for 90+h in this game suddenly doesn't work on one enemy, amazing design vanillaware, thanks so much. Still not beaten him, will try tommorow, I am legit so annoyed right now.
Bro lvl 38? I just exited the stage cause I thought lvl 40 was too underleveled for Galerius, wtffff.
