I told the judge that while yes, I was speeding, I had complete control of my vehicle the whole time and the only other car on the road was the guy I passed for slowing down in the fast lane for what I thought was no reason (they obviously seen the cop on the overpass up ahead). Judge told me that in Virginia, it's an automatic reckless charge if you're doing more than 80. I told him he was in error and the statute states that it's up to the discretion of the officer. The state attorney agreed with me and the officer said I was in control of my vehicle. I then informed the judge that I work on government jobs where even a simple misdemeanor for reckless driving could get me fired and that the punishment for speeding in this case was a little more excessive than the situation warranted. The judge agreed. I was grinning like a bear in a trash can after walking out of there.
The way he said white guys are at traffic court for ✨justice✨ Had me genuinely burst into laughter. These clips are all pretty good stuff but I'm mostly just unresponsive audibly. Listening to how easily and regularly the audience reacts sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with me.
Everything feels so negative and sad with the pandemic and crazy political garbage going on, I think the isolation is making us numb and scared so we are all depressed. Keep watching comedy, or puppy videos, positive things that make you happy, and know You are not alone feeling "distant" from how you normally feel. I'm NOT trying to "diagnose" your feelings at all, please know that I have felt the same way, I just want to be encouraging and pass on a little positivity & Blessings!!! 💞
