The origonal video encouraged me to watch METROPOLIS. It's incredibly beautiful, I even made the entire movie my wallpaper using wallpaper engine. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hell ye, man, glad you got something out of it. Metropolis is an absolutely gorgeous film: that's one thing that sitting and editing stills from it really drove home for me.

Nah, this is more "Japanese corporations don't understand fair use" than it is "TH-cam doing a goof". Their systems are a hell of a lot better than they used to be, but they're as trapped by the current state of copyright law as we are.

Ebert was absolutely based when it came to anime.
This review is way better than Bennett the sage's as he did nothing but talk bad about it. I love this movie.

Being a fan of Lang's Metropolis, I picked this up on DVD as soon as I saw it. Love the film, and now have it on Blu-ray. Great review.

It's had some exposure in the states, I remember Adult Swim playing this decently frequently during the mid-late 2000's.
