People are now into mid tier brands like Coach. Coach is poppin’ rn! Prices are not cheap but reasonable. The designs are actually cute AND functional. Quality is also good. That’s my gripe w luxury. 4K for a bag that’s not practical for everyday.

When you realize how much stuff truly costs to make, i.e. like 40 bucks to make a bag that sells for $6,000 ...... you start to notice a lot of cheaper brands (i.e. Coach) make goods with the same quality as luxury brands, except the prices are very fair.
I used to buy Chanel like crazy. But once they put Kim K in their ads I felt like it completely broke the luxurious facade and cheapened their brand. I never bought again

In all honesty, my Michael Kors and Coach leather bags are made so nicely and the leather is very good, i'm fine with carrying them and I got a lot of them on resale sites.

As for LV, the quality isn’t there so only get the small leather goods or bandeaus but not the handbags no more. I’m happy with the quality of my older bags. Chanel beauty got some great selections for this spring. Can’t wait to get them.

Their makeup is better than their bags; because Chanel was never about their bags, Chanel was always about Runway fashion, accessories like hair and jewelry, and cosmetics such as perfume and makeup.
Chanel went cruelty free, so their products changed because of the type of material they use. It has nothing to do with celebrity or social media influence.
I've been following Chanel since the 90s, and I can assure you they arent going anywhere.
LV is noting but ugly, generic looking designs. Chanel shoes outweigh LV shoes. The bags were never their mainstay.
Side note:
Chanel vends their makeup in Nordstrom and Macy's; that's why you dont see it in their boutique.

I'm honestly happy to say that I never in my life purchased any of their clothing items, shoes, jewelry, or bags from Chanel. The only thing I love about Chanel is their fragrances.... a few, not all.

Well the thing is too chanel does not sell online their goods which sucks. Im excluding makeup and glasses but everything else you have to go to the store. There is not a chanel near me for 6-7 hours driving. I think like hermes if they had some small items online it would work out for them a lot better like costume jewelry and scarves and a handful of items but they dont have to put up classic flaps or whatever like hermes does they dont put birkins online.

The quality of everything from all products including clothing and food is going down or at least everything that I have been purchasing for the past 10 years, I think it is because we accepted lower quality during the shut down for Covid and when factories were back up and running they figured they could do it with less employees and less quality and we will just buy it up

To invest in good designer boots and heels. Because you can always get them resoled and they will last forever. She had a pair of proud boots at the time that were probably 15 years old and assumed Chanel ones and they were perfect condition.She just got them fixed whenever she needed 2.Which wasn't that often at all , maybe every ten years
