    I've been watching your videos for about a year now. I'm glad I did. This process also works really well in purifying copper. I needed pure copper for a project and this allowed me to use junk copper I acquired legally from many different sources. Thanks. This is a lot easier than the other more energy intensive method of melting the copper. Im not even sure if melting it would purify it either because it was alloyed to begin with.

    Hey Kevin you should try and making a supersaturated solution of SMB and taking your gold-bearing solution and drip the SMB via a addition funnel one drop at a time and watch to see if it starts coming out of solution all at once or if it actually does a complete flashover and you'd want it to be sitting on a stir bar plate stirring when you're dripping that into the gold

    SIR!
    I simply love it! Interesting and coincidental how just a few hours ago I'd been trying to clear up the issue of excess nitric on the GRF. And most of the stuff you do ; incremental dosages of nitric to avoid the excess and also the evaporation technique you just carried out helped in clearing out the basic understanding of how its done. It almost seems like you read the issue there and felt like doing a video on it to make it easy for your viewers.

    3:30 lid on a beaker reducing speed of solution evaporation near 4-5 times returning most part of liquid in the form of dripping back condensate
    4:45 Evaporate solution up to slightly damp or completely dry crystals of chloroauric acid. And don't waste muriatic acid to rehydrate(redisolve) the crystals, it's better to use distilled water for this purpose.

    • @sreetips
      @sreetips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gold dissolved in aqua regia shouldn’t be boiled. It should be evaporated slowly to a syrup then rehydrated with HCl. This is how I learned it from professional refiners on the goldrefiningforum.com - the lid on the beaker prevents gold droplets from flying out of the beaker. Of course, the best way to denoxx is to add just the right amount of nitric so there none in the gold solution.

    Hello Mr. Sreetips, have you ever tried to laminate the gold and silver alloy after making the inquartation ? Yes, I tried it. I spent at least a half hour once, trying to roll thin, an ingot of inquarted gold. It turned out to be a lot more work than I suspected. The alloy is much harder than the individual metals are. So I became resigned to just pouring shot to increase surface area, instead of trying to roll it, and let the chemicals do all that work for me.

    Greetings Kevin. I've been watching your channel for a little while now, and I've begun doing all of this myself. What I've noticed is that after I put the stump out in, my gold always looks gray, even after the muratic bath & boil. I have not does anything with the burner yet or a furnace. How much gold do you loose under the evaporation with the oxy-acetylene torch ? Gold evaporation starts at 1400 °C , the oxy-acetylene torch produces up to 3480°C.

    • @sreetips
      @sreetips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The losses start when I remove stones. Small amounts of gold chip off and get lost. Next during inquartation. Some of the gold sticks to the melt dish. Next loss is during pour off of the silver. Boiling nitric dissolves traces of gold that end up in the silver jar. Plus some crumbs of gold get poured off. When dissolving the gold, some of it leaves the beaker as tiny droplets and go up the stack. When filtering the gold some of it gets splashed out and gets lost. Some sticks to the filter papers. And the inside of the filter funnel concraks some gold and it probably goes down the drain. That’s one way that gold ends up in the ocean. When transferring the gold solution some gets splashed out. And, the torch (oxy/acetylene is up around 6000f) so there are losses all along the way. Minimizing them will depend on the skill and technique used by the refiner.

      I’ve included as much detail as possible in my videos. When I first started refining, I would have been delighted to find videos, like mine, for free on TH-cam. Back then 2010, there were bits and pieces and critical details were left out. Then you’d be directed to a site and solicited for payment to receive the details. That’s when I decided to share my knowledge and withhold nothing. I believe that it’s part of the reason that I have success with my channel. Because you can watch my videos, take notes, and repeat what I’ve done, even though that’s not what the videos are intended for.

    • @sreetips

      Other metals, if present, will precipitate with the gold and contaminate it. This is more likely to happen if excess nitric is present.

    • @lvstofly

      Have you considered making monoatomic gold for sale? It has some amazing properties. I think it speeds up the nervous system, better conductors means less resistance, faster signals, reduces stress. It's kinda like gold terminals on high end electronics, there would be lower oxidative stress better reception. If our telemers were gold infused our life spans would increase. Noah told us to burn the golden calf and eat it! There is another biblical passage that warns of overconsumption but I forget where. Consume too much and we might activate our light body and fly away.

Awesome news on your upcoming gold cell, can't wait. One question: i watch other channels where guys that are mining gold smelt their own gold buttons from ore. I'm curious how pure their resultant gold is as compared to your chemical ways. There are so many other elements in the ore that it would seem to me a more 'crude' method than yours, not nearly so pure.

    How do I go about getting the excess nitric out (small batch so only 10ml or so was even added) so that the gold drops out with SMB. I have added SMB and it is still too acidic. My thought was adding more gold and just recovering it with the batch. Or I may try this method here unless it won't work with the SMB being added. Thank you for the great videos as always! You are the reason I got into doing this in the first place!

    • @sreetips
      @sreetips  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you add SMB and no gold comes down then it’s safe to conclude that there’s no gold in the solution. This is a common beginner mistake.

    • @robinsontanner1234

      @sreetips i started with gold foils. My stannous test says yes. I think there is too much residual nitric that is redisolving the gold as it precipitates. But could be wrong. This is only my 6th time through the process. The liquid dropped some but is still yellow.
