It's a great breakdown of how they put that song together from beginning to end. Pure artistry and musicianship.
I initially snubbed this group, I knew a few pieces but never deepened despite she was very good. Last year I listened out of curiosity blue weekend and I really liked it, and after a bit of deepening on the album through interviews I fell in love with them and they became one of my favorite bands. she talented and in my opinion intimidates when she sings, and she has grown a lot I saw the first live where she was shy and awkward now she is a lion on stage. the guys very very good both technically and as choirs (I’ve often met in their tracks), I really like the voice of Joel seems almost a second voice. however good reactions
Spotify sessions, you need to hear ‘You’re a germ’ and ‘wicked game’ on those sessions, Ellie’s voice 😭😭 she is so good, the guys too, a complete band.
It's interesting how, as gorgeous and dynamic that Ellie is, she kind of slots herself into the music and lives there. She doesn't have to be a frontwoman ala Shirley Manson. She exists to serve the music. I also think it's because she's an introvert unlike Teo lol
Watched all three of your Wolf Alice videos this weekend. Really enjoyed it. Such a great, unique band, can pretty much pick up any track and hear something new or different several listens in, so watching your videos was like rediscovering and gaining new appreciation for their tracks myself. Bravo. Sad that they're done touring now and will probably go quiet for a bit, but it'll be worth it when the next album comes out. I know this has been mentioned in past comments, but the deluxe edition of My Love Is Cool plus the Blush EP are worth listening to as well, gives you an idea of how they evolved plus some really cool tracks mixed in with those, even if they're a bit raw. Appreciate your work!
No one I know personally likes Wolf Alice or even knows who they are, so it’s been awesome watching your reactions and reading all the comments from other fans, and I love how much you love them! They have easily become my favorite band over the years and I can’t wait to see them in Seattle in October! Great video!

For me, my favorite song on this album is "Planet Hunter", which to me seems to be describing a one night stand of some sort?. Close seconds would be "Heavenward" , "Space & Time" (reminds me of Velvet Underground) and "Formidable Cool" (which they always kill live!).

Also glad you had a great time at the gig, the atmosphere at these Blue Weekend shows is something else. I know you’re super busy, but one day I’d love to see you react to WA’s two classic EPs, Blush and Creature Songs. Both EPs appear on the MLIC deluxe edition in their entirety, but I prefer to think of them as separate entities myself. There are some truly stunning tracks on both EPs and they are as good as anything on their subsequent albums IMO. Also, are you familiar with the Australian punk band, Amyl and the Sniffers? If not, I’d love to see you react to their 2021 album, Comfort To Me, it’s an absolute blast! I have to say, there is some really great music coming out of your country right now.
Also, has After The Zero Hour grown on you yet? I’ve always loved that track personally, it has a strange other-worldly eeriness to it that I absolutely love. I always imagine myself sat round a campfire, in the middle of a forest at 3am, when I listen to it!
just watched all your wolf alice vids to share the joy you have for their music- love it! i can recommend the album "Broken Machine" by Nothing But Thieves if you don't already know it- a great alternative rock album with some amazing vocals

@@supernormal1143 I saw three WA shows last month, all different. St. Louis was small and intimate; Austin was epic (Theo's 30th birthday), and Dallas was familiar, warm, and fuzzy. They're always fantastic. Joel told me that the Austin gig was one of his favorite shows that they've ever played.
Finally got around to watching your reaction to this brilliant album. I knew you would love it 😃. The last track is a meticulously crafted masterpiece and one which I never get tired of listening to. As for ‘After the Zero Hour’ I had the same reaction but rest assured it does grow on you as it does with everything Wolf Alice have done so far. BTY Blue Weekend is officially 1 year old now 👍
