Stock is good. My V6 motor has 160hp. I put parts CEO's kids through college on the steep HP learning curve.
@@ayebee1207 That's not too good for *stock.* B16A 4-cylinder 1.6L N/A is 160 horsepower. F22C 4-cylinder 2.2L N/A is 240 horsepower. With a V engine I'd de-stroke and lighten the top end to get better max RPM, widen the cam LSA for better high RPM breathing.
I feel like the people who actually have well modified cars appreciate this video more than people who have stock cars, everybody started somewhere

It smokes because the turbo drain isn't draining fast enough. Probably not strait down. you should not run restrictor plates on journal bearing turbos either
When you leave your factory crankcase vent hooked up to the intake manifold you get this "smoke show".. its a really common thing for people to overlook.. Bet money they are pressurizing the crankcase. I dont see a catch can...
@hitman hit i have had numerous turbo cars and ive never run anything but a vent and ive never had a car that smoked unless it was actually the turbo going out. Theres no need for a vacuum source to your catch can.. the only scenario i can think of that you might need that is if you had a lot of blowby and you were pushing 60 psi of boost pressure or something crazy high like that.
check Your feed and return lines. you might be leaking or your turbo seals are bad
Dre C ebay turbo feed lines are what kill ebay turbos get a shop to make you a feed line and it will not amoke and will not kill the turbo

Your all way wrong... do you see a crankcase breather??? They probably still have the factory pcv valve setup. Number one reason i see smoke coming from a turbo car. Because people dont do research.

Motor Nubs yeah throw a oil restrictor in it those eBay turbos do not like high oil pressure but I had good luck with the oil restrictors in mine

FYI Cosworth may make A Offy Head for Honda 1.6. Ditch the Vtec. The set up is a
Twin cam non vtec. Formula Ford, Offy 1.6
Heads might net you 110% VE flow with the correct tube injectors. The good
Honda forged lower block may hold @9000rpm powerband to see 300hp
Normally aspirated on methalky.
The trick is to get the injectors timed to supercool the mix between firings. So a
TRI Y header design is paramount to acheive supercooling injection.

I've never seen a 150K+ mile Honda that didn't burn oil, unless the engine was rebuilt. Not sure what is causing the smoking on THIS Honda, but she's a smoking.
I have 2 hondas a 93 and 94 that have 160k or better and dont burn at all

piston rings probably gone and oil is slithering into the chamber causing it to burn oil or have smoke coming out lol or it could be something else

probably a slew of things, to include valve seals, bad rings, bad PCV.... etc...
the oil burning collects on the piston crown and throws out the balance of the piston weight and makes them(or one 1 or 2 ) weigh more and can aid in spinning a bearing now that the forces are different at the crank journal. I would have at least stripped the engine and replaced the rod crank bearing and piston rings.That would have made it last a little bit
Turbo. Improperly clocked and (or) incorrect feed and drain size. It seems like it smokes on decel because of excess oil in the journal housing from high oil pressure and not being able to drain. Long story short, oil in the intake, smoke out of the exhaust lol

tannerharkey eagle talon RC 550CC injectors bone stock motor with a chip and socketed ecu and had Eric at SQC tuning in nm tune it my car wasn't special it still had the stock map sensor cause of boost spike but my car motor was bone stock

You need a restrictor on your feed and you're drain needs to be as straight and short to the pan as possible it's not draining fast enough that's your problem

Those ebay turbos tend to leak oil at the seals. Needs a restrictor on the oil inlet.
For everybody talking shit the NEW Civic Sport Hatch puts down 180hp. So these numbers on this old of an engine that's a D series really isnt bad at all. For stock it could be 80hp worse.

If your using a ebay oil feed throw it right out and get a shop to make you a good feed line and the ebay turbo will last like any expensive one and will not smoke cuz the ebay restrictors and lines are cancer

I have a question turbo guys. Assuming the ebay boost gauge is + - 10% accuracy?
If factory net hp was say 160hp as an example and your testing at sea level between 68F to 72F Temp.
So Atmospheric [Manifold Absolute Pressure] or MAP, without boost is 14.7 psi. Copasetic so far?
So if the ECU input from MAP sensor reads 20psi during your dyno pull.....Your
MAP was a 29% increase above 14.7 N/A psi. Or 5.3 pounds of boost.
A 29% increase of fuel was needed. So if you did that right, my example would show an increase of 46hp. Or 204hp.

Now say a stock engine is cranked up to 10.6psi boost. Another 29% more fuel is needed.
Is your throttle body too restrictive?
Turbulent tumble decreases linear airflow with stock Intakes.
Many engines develop problems with uneven flow under boost with factory intake.
Lean burn out of valves and piston crowns.
Now your MAP reading data to the ECU is 25.6 psi and hp is now at 58% increase = 252hp at the flywheel
With 10%-17% mechanical loss through the driveline to the wheels.
Now mechanical stress on head gasket, piston wrist pins, con rods,
Crank journals and bearings has also gone up 58%.@10.6 psi.
Many full pull, actual 10psi increase of boost dyno runs are instant failure with head gasket leak.
Blowing 100cc of coolant into just one combustion chamber @bdc or mid stroke, causes hydro fracturing the engine
When piston moves up to tdc. Resulting In a pile of scrap.
A big slug of unvaporized liquid nitrous and fuel will also cause hydro fracture.
58% Increase in BMEP[Brake Mean Effective Presure]Requires 58% Increase in clamping pressure on the block and head deck.
And hope that bottom end is tough enough for X2 mechanical loading on the reciprocating parts.
