The different species in OP aren't really called species they're called tribes
"Tribe" doesn't hold the racist meaning in Japan that it does in the West. Racism was invented as justification for Western colonialism, and part of that meant making up this theory that societies evolve from "tribal" ones to capitalist economies (this theory has long been debunked in anthropology), so that they could then say their colonising was a benevolent mission of "civilising" lesser races. I get this whole "minority hunter Zoro" thing is a joke, but it's pretty annoying how Americans love to project their own racism (and other problems) onto East Asian societies.

I looked forward to see this animated after reading the manga, I was so hyped by the references to his dark skin, light hair and rareness. I hoped that it would be a reference to the unique Melanesian blondes... But no, we get a generic "dark skin" character with literally white hair.
Like, come on, this is a freaking cliché. There are tons of character who look like that in anime and manga, both standard and off-brand. Various dark elves, for instance. By the way, their skin tends to be *really* dark in off-brand mangas.
The great Oda-sama got sucked by this cliché funnel as well... How very unfortunate. So far, off-brand Japanese products have a greater degree of representing the variety of human appearances - in the anime drawing style, it is mostly shown by the colour of characters' hair and skin.

Most op versions of races are few to extinct like oars jr was a ancient giant which was 3-4 times taller than regular giants and modified humans like sanji and his siblings which is like taking on a terminator as a regular human given thier superman abilities and durability plus healing makes them broken and even kaido and yamato who appear to just be born with supernatural strength and durability like kaido who joined a ship with rocks when he was 15 and yamato beating some waiters and pleasures being 6 years old just yelling she's oden.

I think it's REALLY hard to scale Lucci right now. I don't know how mcuh stronger he could have gotten, bu tthey were both EASILY defeated by Zoor/Luffy so I doubt Lucci > King.
@@AlvinKazu good question, King had a special body due to his race that made it hard for Zoro to defeat King. Lucci doesn’t have such hard body (except when using Tekkai) but is still very strong. I guess strength wise they are more or less the same.
Also, Zoro has grown stronger after Wano arc.

Now we have just another generic white-haired "dark-skinned" (it's not even that dark...) character. You can see the likes all around in animes and manga (both standard and off-brand).
Referencing the unique Melanesian blonde type of appearance would make King truly stand out, inspire multiple artists to learn more and to promote this knowledge to tons of people. Oda-sama, the mangaka, openly referenced lots of places and events previously in 'One Piece', so why not do this in cases like that? 😢
