I have had a string of my great-grandmother's beads that are in need of restringing for decades. Thank you for having this tutorial so I can attempt to restring those wonderful beds. Sincerely Grace Henderson
Hi Kendall! Great question! You would weave the thread that's running out back into the beads to secure it and then add a new thread in the same manner. You can see how this is done in this video: th-cam.com/video/foACnsOvZXs/w-d-xo.html and you can also learn more on our tutorial page for adding, starting, and finishing threads here: www.artbeads.com/design-studio/bead-weaving-thread-tips/
I find that tubular herringbone works up faster than tubular peyote because you are always picking up and stitching two beads at a time. Herringbone has a more open feeling, peyote is more densely beaded. So style and time are two of the factors to consider when you choose between these stitches. Good question!
Hi Sarah. We don't have a video for the ladder stitch currently, but we do have a tutorial with step-by-step pictures. Check it out here: www.artbeads.com/ladder-stitch.html - Becky
Sarah Teddy it was the very first directions she showed us...when she started writing with the pen her thread direction. You just need to form your ring using that thread direction instruction. Hope this helps

great tutorial! i’ve wanted to try this technique for so long!
I have trouble with diagrams of circular stitches but the demonstration with beads was very helpful.
I did this stitch years ago to make palm trees but I forgot how to do it. Thanks for the reminder!

Leslie, how do we decide whether to do tubular peyote or tubular herringbone for a bracelet or necklace? Thank you.

what size you used in work ?
+No0rA No0rA We are using 8/0 beads for this example, but you can use all kinds of different sizes to create different effects!
Great tutorial! Too bad you put your hands in front of the camara when explaining how the beads closed the spaces.
thx
Nice work but I wish if I can Dan loading
Please shoot so your hand does not cover up the beads and thread. Great video.
The video does not start at all. How come.

mi piace ma non ho sentito la spiegazione.
Forse la telecamera andava tenuta sull'altro lato, perché le mani coprono il movimento dell'ago purtroppo
Thank you for your feedback, we have another video about tubular herringbone that might be helpful to you: th-cam.com/video/qsa-Er8mt_U/w-d-xo.html
