If they ask for $1= BLOCKED
there is chance to recover your lost funds if you been scammed before, did you have the payment proof or confidential information??
What about 99 cents?
@@secretsauce4530good one😂
WRONG - it they ask for TIME= BLOCK. if they can't meet in person w 3 exchanges, you need to-BLOCK. Targets get addicted by the scammer script. WHEN they ask for money- it's too late! An addict will do anything for supply
Scammers prey on the Alzheimer’s, right?
Don't send strangers money online. Block them if they request for it.
It's not always that simple. Online Predatory Behavior is exactly as the phrase implies. They seek, prey and pounce on their victims. I hope that she receives justice.
she wont receive justice. and it IS that simple, if you send money to strangers online then they will steal your money. @@hyperionsupreme551

I heard that too.

Looks like someone's been doing dabs in the bathroom at work again...
It is very unlikely that u will get it
I am shocked that the son went along with this.
Me too. He wasn't "in love" with the scammer and should have been able to help his mom in not sending anything in the first place.
Well if he ends up not living with her the whole time or not helping support her financially so they can have a decent place to live then I'm going to wonder if he had a friend scam her and they split the money because I don't know of any thirty-five-year-old Americans with a healthy mind I don't know about these romance scammers and of course they would warn their parents
Well, it's definitely not only women who prey victim to romance scammers. He may also be the vulnerable type, or his mom didn't tell him all the details of her relationship.
That son is so stupid
I said the same thing. It's usually children of the elderly person screaming, "IT'S A SCAM". Also, even though they blurred the photo the scammer used I get the feeling it was a photo of someone that could have been her grandson.
I wish there was more people like you to stop all these scammers, they need serious jail time for that, especially when they take money from the elderly. keep doing what your doing *Charge-backtools* put the wind up these low life oxygen thief Loves what you guy do keep up the great work mate weldone.

I feel bad for her but I can't believe she did that 😳 You'd think her son would've been a bit more protective of his mom. Thats an awful way to learn a valuable lesson... don't trust anybody.
I mean, that the mom didn't know about these scams is one thing, but the son didn't know either. Have they been living under a rock for 20 years? Ugh!
It seems that they are not fully innocent. It was greed. They pay a fraction of he does for a nice house. Like he said: "sounded like a good deal"
i think 2 "girls" that i met on a dating app are trying to scam me. They are both saying how they know someone that's knowledgeable about investing and how they make so much money thanks to that person's help. Don’t tell anybody at all
Good advice would also be that when you reach 76 be prepared to face life alone or try to meet somebody in real life. Meeting people on Facebook at that age is just crazy. My Mum cannot even text.
So the adult son was going to move with his mother AND the guy? Lol smh
really!!
how could the son have ever believed such a thing? greedy gus.
She didn’t see all those episodes on the Dr Phil show of the romance scams
And several channels here on TH-cam where people tell their heartbreaking stories of the romance scammers .
How could this elderly woman not know but worse yet how did her a 35 year-old son not know ? ... and not warn her and try to get her to slow down , not send money and to open her eyes ?!
Perhaps she saw those TV-shows but thought this was different, that she was an exception.
They usually think that, no matter if they have been scammed before they just continue on and on again.
I can't believe how naive people are. She'll never see that money again. Old people should not be allowed on social media.
And they shouldn’t be allowed wire transfer above 250 unless there is a guardian to give permission.
Everyone is not that stupid even if they are old.

Pretty sad....😢
Society these days make u feel v lonely n isolated
The old ate left on their own
This is a tragedy. I hope that she not only gets her money back but she also receives justice.
That money is gone baby gone you need real professional hackers to track down those internet cafe's where the swindlers have no real names. I just can't help but wonder why criminals images are often blurred out in the media why not show his face at least maybe someone will recognize him and can help. Why would she entertain the thought of packing up her life to live with someone after a month of conversing with them. If she's fantasizing about a in person s3xual encounter okay; still unwise but okay she's human because the man arms look like he's half her age so he's younger than her or as young as her adult son but don't take him seriously and think a stranger has fallen in love with you in such a short time; because as soon as the subject of giving money comes up that is the RED FLAG that he's not in love with you he wants your money. I do empathize with victims but she is too old and has lived too much life to be that naive.
Are you kidding? This money is never going to be retrieved. Sadly it is gone, and these people sit in an office setting in a foreign country and play these romance scam "games" all day long. Like a job...
The money is already in the scammers' account and nobody knows those scammers. There is no chance to get it back. Some 'companies' are promising they can get you back the money, but there is a big chance these 'companies' are also scams.
@@marthas.4456 I didn’t even know they had companies that claimed they could get it back. That’s just throwing away more money.
Is it? I know my view will not be popular but what on Earth was she thinking SELLING HER HOME and planning a life with someone SHE HAD NEVER MET!!????!!!!!!
Isn’t this a symptom of delusional thinking?
I do feel sad for the woman and her son. The situation is painful to watch. However, I do believe there is a bigger problem here than lost money and dashed hopes of marrying an African doctor. She lost her instincts, she lost connection to her intuition, to her own intellect. She’s disconnected, dissociated from reality. That’s the true tragedy.

I have ZERO sympathy for women who are foolish enough to give money to a random guy they met online. She's too old to be that ignorant. Why would a guy she's never met want to buy a house with her? Why would he want her to give him money if he could afford to invest $600,000 of his own money? Why would she give him money without meeting him first and doing a background check on him? Why would her son go along with the plan? I'm sorry she lost her life savings but don't understand why she couldn't tell it was a scam from the start. smh
Victim blamers are the only the second worst scourge of the Earth after the perps themselves, though very often they are one and the same. Criminals cannot survive without your lot, and they love you for it. It does not protect you in the least, however, your delusion in that regard actually makes you more vulnerable. It's all but guaranteed that you have already been scammed at one time or another, and will very likely do that again.
Your own craven callousness is only outdone by your cowardice.
@@barbarakauppi9915Blah blah blah, no one cares. Not reading all that. She was foolish for falling for this crap, next question!
it's as simple as lack of education & "common sense" but those who judge ~contribute to the issue cuz they go about their lives seemingly just ~assuming that every other person knows what they kno & if those ppl don't then "it's their own fault", when it's really much more complicated, ppl can't make good decisions when they're lacking in knowledge & don't even kno what they are in need of learning.. many still have a childlike innocence about them, or have reverted to a childlike mindset & trust too easily.. when they're surrounded by others of similar mind, how can they be expected to learn better & grow? or when at stages in life where desperate for even the illusion of companionship (or financial freedom, in the case of "lotto scams") at any cost.. while I do shake my head at it, I get it- but rather than place blame on the victims, I prefer to keep on spreading as much knowledge & ~awareness as possible.. 💜
I lost 1K due to falling victim to a scam at work. Before that, I thought there was no way I could ever fall for one. Don’t judge until you’re faced with a very convincing one yourself. I’m super lucky it was only 1k
I know some people who fell victim to a scam at their church. We have to be very vigilant. You are lucky it was only 1k. These people are being scammed out of their life savings and retirement.
the scam you have fallen for maybe was very elaborate and unusual... However these romance scams are all the same, same script, etc. They are around since the beginning of the internet.
One of my favorites hobbies is telling people NO. People have tried to scam me or ask me for money multiple times but my ability to reject people when it comes to money has kept me safe. 😂
@CinematikNupe -- you are so lucky. People have lost retirement savings, etc. from these scams. I'm not sure why people are still engaging in these shady online relationships; as soon as the person asks for money that should be a clue that it's not legit. I feel bad for the older women that this keeps happening to.
what happened with this victim scam at work? Where do you work and what happened?
Anything involving money is a red flag. Block and ghost.
Usually the children are the ones that point out to their parents that they are being scammed. How did the son fall for it as well? He wasn’t in love… It’s also is telling that he still lives with his mother well beyond middle age
Sometimes they don’t listen, I read a story about women from Ontario,Canada who ended up in jail in Thailand 🇹🇭 because a scammer made her move to Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and then gave her a luggage full of drugs to bring to Thailand. Her friends and children warned her but she still felt for it
Probably wanted to just help his mom quickly so he'd be able to go back to the Xbox in her basement.
You didn't lose your life savings, you gave your life savings away... i just cant feel sorry for anyone who would willingly give that much money to someone they have never met. You have no one else to blame.
That’s not true don’t blame nice empathetic people
@anonymous-rx3yh that's not nice and empathetic, It's just stupidity... I am nice and empathetic. I give to charity when I can ns will help anyone out when I can and I haven't giving my life savings away...
People get the same scam for people they actually meet. Yes, she should have known better, but she probably did not know that people could be so mean and lie. She knows now.
Aren't you a chortling nasty weenie
This is sad, scammers taking advantage of people who are feeling lonely 😔 I’m glad I like to be alone…
There is no "Trick" that she fell for. She chose to transfer $70,000 to someone she never met.
I'm not sure what you think the definition of "trick" is but from my knowledge it just means deceived. This woman was deceived into thinking that she was buying a house and she was also deceived into thinking that this person loved her and that he was investing his money into the house as well. None of those things were true.
yes more like she paid $70,000 on a roulette wheel, or a lotto ticket. i hope the scammer does something more wonderful with all that money than she did.
@@teem9010 I agree with you. People willingly give up their money, not held up at gunpoint or carjacked. Not sure what these scammers do with the dough but like you said I hope they use it more wisely then the people who give it up so easily
I agree. She thought she could give him $70,000 and end up living in his $600,000 house. That alone should have been a red flag. Add that to the fact they'd never even met and I have to wonder about her mental state. And that of her son who went along with it. Sounds like they both were looking for a meal ticket.
Not the brightest. It’s one thing for the mother to fall for it, but the son too?! Smh 🤦🏻♀️
Why wouldnt they try to look at the house sooner
The only reason I can see anyone doing this is if they think they are going to live the rich life off someone else s back.

I get that people are lonely but some people don't use their head. A relationship doesn't exist with someone you've never seen in person.
Why send your life's savings?
I really do not want to Judge this lady, but her son didn't have enough sense to realize his mom was being scammed??

With all the info about scams I shocked that people still fall for them.
There has to be some degree of impairment for these elderly women to believe any man wants them, it is sad and unfair but no younger man and very few older men are looking for a nearly 80 year old partner. I don't agree with ageism but it is so real and these women falling for this really cannot be in their right minds.
Men are visual beings.....beauty turns them on no matter what age.
Older women are not thinking clearly...hoping that these rich, younger men are attracted to them sexually..
They need to take a long look in the mirror. 😢

Yet again, another lonely person meets someone online, never actually speaks to them, falls in love with them and then that person asks for money? the minute they can't call you or meet with you in person is the time to say goodbye. That's a huge red flag, if you can't meet the person face to face, then kindly say goodbye...and don't send that person one red cent. Ever.
