    Its all about peaking at the right moment. Running fast now doesn't mean you will be the same at the Olympics!

      Or it could mean that that is the peak and wil only go slow towards the olympic

    They are going to have to work on improving those times if they want to win a medal at the olympics. All the fast countries are running sub ten.

      I 100% agree with you on that

      Its all about peaking at the right moment. Running fast now doesn't mean you will be the same at the Olympics! You don't where they are at in their training block!

      @@peterhild5793 Wouldn't the fastest US and Jamaican sprinters, who are currently running 9.8s, have comparable training schedules to peak at the Olympics?

      @TheRasiani 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      DeGrasse and Brown were just doing what they had to do - DeGrasse has run 9.89 already this year, so I wouldn't fret too much about what time he ran here.

      @michaelwarren5062 Sure - that's a good point. But the US and Jamaican trials are DEEP in talent. If you don't run a close to world leading time at those national trials, chances are you won't be going to Paris. Not so much in Canada, right now.

    Jamaicans heats win was 9.8s and final win looking easy slowing down was 9.77 Kishane Thompson. SO these guys not going medal at the olympics. the to three in Jamaica were 9.77, 9.82 and 9.92. Kind of said it all right there.

      Not how it works btw. Peaking at the right time is how it works.

      @@Adam-de8yiagreed. The thing is though that the Jamaicans know that better than anyone and are running sub 10s while easing up, as are the top Americans.

      @@Adam-de8yiUr have a point but peaking is a about a month from now. To compete with those guys they gotta be sub 10 now.
      Those guys are at worst at pace to hit a 8.8 in the finals. These guys gotta run times they haven't hit all season which is less likely.

  • @kingklassic3522

    Gonna be hard to compete against USA and Jamaica with these times. Those teams are in fast good form rn. Many sub 10s

    Andre de Grasse will never win silver or gold with his continuous horrible start. He won't even medal this year.

      Don’t sleep on De Grasse, he doesn’t waste his time or energy showing off before the big day, he does what he has to to qualify and then uses his energy to medal on the day 💯
