Lol Noah is fast but I never think of him as a top 100m athlete because he's to slow out the box. He won last year because he over performed in my opinion. I already predicted that Saville and Lyles maybe fighting for a bronze medal. We shall see
This young - Kishane Thompson , is no joke. It's time for fresh talent. Let's face it, how many athletes are running 9.77? Anyone who will challenge him will have to top their speed beyond their personal best to beat him. It isn't hard to see that this man is the favorite for gold by current performances. All the best to all the athletes out there working hard.
But these aren't robots. They are human beings. It is whoever can perform on one specific day. He is fast but he is also injury prone. Hope he stays healthy. Many things can factor in mental and physical. We will have a great race.
@@sports2hedz542 , the question asked was not about injury or other factor, it was about who currently stand as favorite base on performances. We all know things can happen by then and on the day, but, the performances of this young man makes him the natural favorite for gold. Hands down.
@@sports2hedz542 wth are you looking at?? he's firing hot on those legs and his technique (head/shoulders/arms/torso) is sound..i don't see anybody beating him...unh unh.
He's fine tuned his running style. Looks smoother technique now. I now need him to get into a habit of running without the easing up come finals. Built the body to be ready whilst injury issues, now time to stay fit and execute!
Another underrated performance from this meet in Hungary was De Grasse’s 19.98. In 2021 prior to the Olympics, the fastest De Grasse had run was 19.97 (with slightly better wind) at the exact same meet. His 100m SB right now is also almost identical as his pre-Olympic 2021 time, only 0.01 slower. Many people have been writing off De Grasse this year, but he’s shown himself to be in essentially identical form as in 2021 when he won gold in the 200m, bronze in the 100m, and silver in the 4x100m.
I was at the Canadian trials and people write him off because of his SB but he himself looks calm and collected about it I think he has everything under control and we will certainly see some fast times from him
He will have to go somewhere he's never put his body before to win the 200M possible but unlikely he might medal but win well..... There is 1 scenario were he stands a chance. If Noah reacts himself in the 100M trying to win then he has a fair chance.
The way the dude is built he kinda HAS to have a lot of muscle to move his frame that quickly. Bolt wasn't exactly a rain thin guy either though his leg and arm length sometimes made it look that way. But Thompsons built with a broad chest that causes massive wind resistance. He's got to be able to power through it. In fact that may well be his most limiting factor, his chest is always going to be wide as hell and causing him to slow down, then you add in the extra muscle he needed to gain to attempt to offset it and in doing so adding even more wind resistance but spread out more evenly. He's clearly not running full bore for all these races lately, so he's definitely got sub 9.7 speed in that frame. Honestly he's probably got the best chance, of the current crop of world famous names anyway, to get closest to Bolt. 9.58 is crazy fast, but this guy IS extraordinary. He may be able to challenge it within the next 6-8 years. He still hasn't even gotten his adult muscles fully in and beat into shape yet. Most runners get faster and faster up until their late 20's, some into their mid 30's. What age can do for muscle conditioning is something that nothing but time can create for you. Which is why I've no doubt Erriyon Knighton will be absolutely unstoppable in the 200m within a few short years. He will likely smash right past Noah's times and challenge Bolts. Never underestimate the aging process when it comes to a young adult becoming a fully developed adult.
i'll push back on that last part..seldom do you see juniors translate their potential to the senior level. There is such a thing as maximal efficiency..which translates "as fast as your body will allow you to get". even with nutrition, weight training, speed training, and proper physio treatment, most juniors don't get "faster and faster" as you put it..thru losing or injury or desire they drop off
@@Karvyl-b1c Exactly. Noah Lyles had to run the race of his life to do a 9.83 PB at Budapest last year... and we've already seen Kishane run faster than than while clearly easing to the line. None of these other guys have 9.70 in them right now on a good day. Kishane is the only one who does.

I ran track in college also and if u see the change in my physique once I got into bodybuilding and learned about nutrition u with think I was on roids but just straight great Nigerian genetics
@@francisikwueme1688 I agree with you completely. There are guys walking around in Jamaica every day that look like that. I remember playing cricket with a guy many years ago; dude was a common labourer, did not train a day in his life and had more muscle than Kishane.
@@dynamoky5986 yep yep you can find guys in Nigeria who do hard labor like that . A lot of my friends who came over from Nigeria would get Uber jacked within a few months of lifting and consider they have access to to more protein which is not as costly back home . Heck I ran track at a small school in Michigan when we would go down to Alabama and Georgia to compete for spring break we noticed the difference in muscle density of them southern boys and girls lol
Bolt ran 9.58 into a headwind. If Thompson gets favorable wind, that immortal world record could be in jeopardy. If he don’t pound on his chest like a gorilla on the last 20 meters, I’d bet on an Olympic record
I think it's logical to be a little curious about what Mr. Thompson has been doing the last couple of years. For a guy to be so inactive because of injuries and still be able to gain such a remarkable amount of lean muscle mass in such a short period of time is questionable. He doesnt even look like a track athlete, he looks more like a powerlifter. The dudes thighs are bigger than a lot of other guys whole body.
Well if u are not running as much and doing much cardio u can our ok muscle . He still looks lean and under 200lbs like a typical nfl wide receiver. I ran track and played b-ball with a very high metabolism. Once I reduced the cardio intensive activities I put on serious Muscle also
@francisikwueme1688 You think he's under 200 lbs? I have a hard time believing that. He's several inches taller than the majority of track athletes I've seen him next to and his legs are bigger than a lot of guys whole body. Take a look at his thigh muscles and tell me he's under 200 lbs. I saw him next to Tobago and his legs looked bigger than Tobagos waist.
Everyone will have to run all out through the qualifying heats just to make it to the final in this years Olympics. 9.75 - 9.80 will get the gold. Kishane just forced everyone to up their game. He and Noah both have closing speed so it will be close!
Noah cant even handle Seville. So he definitely can't handle Kishane, who showed us at Jamaica Trials that he is clearly faster than Seville. Noah might need to settle for the bronze.
@@orettesmall108 Acting like there's 0.10 difference....when there isn't. Check the wind on their top performances. It's more like 0.04..... And we all know what Jamaican regimen KT is on: Same since 2007 💉
If the weather is fine and there is no head wind, it is going to be a very fast 100m final. To make the final will be very hard. To win will require everything to be perfect on the day. Sub 10.8 sec is spot on.
Well to answer that question I have to say Noah Lyles is the favorite for me. Here's why Noah is the defending champion in the 100 meters, he is the most confident I've ever seen any sprinter with the exception of Bolt and in and I guarantee nobody wants it as bad as Noah. The last three years he has performed best on the biggest stages. So with that being said.. I think Noah will win and break his personal best in 9.8 seconds.
If he keeps working, he will be the best currently. Will he match or best Bolt? Only time will tell. It's said that he adds weight if he's not persistent about his training, so it all depends on whether he has enough discipline.
The way he runs makes it look like he's turning the world underneath his feet, rather than propelling himself forward.
😂 nice visual

💯
he's doping
Noah lies gonna need a few more bottles of water to Hydrate cuz Kishane's coming with the heat.🔥🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Lol Noah is fast but I never think of him as a top 100m athlete because he's to slow out the box. He won last year because he over performed in my opinion. I already predicted that Saville and Lyles maybe fighting for a bronze medal. We shall see
yeah I agree he can make the trials but he will NEVER win a gold in the 100
💉💉💉
🔥🔥🗣
Noah have 9'6 and 19' 2 on The legs 4 The Olympics. He's peaking now!
how come theses guys are so much more muscular than the sprinters in the 80s?
Hands down.
I agree 100%. Plus, I'm tired of seeing and hearing of that horsetoothed guy Noah Lyles.
@@sports2hedz542 wth are you looking at?? he's firing hot on those legs and his technique (head/shoulders/arms/torso) is sound..i don't see anybody beating him...unh unh.
@@tonyparra9149😂😂😂😂
The time gap between 1 and 2nd (.11) fastest times is bigger than the gap between 2nd and 9th (.08). Crazy
He's fine tuned his running style. Looks smoother technique now. I now need him to get into a habit of running without the easing up come finals.
Built the body to be ready whilst injury issues, now time to stay fit and execute!
How about running without the Juice!

The Podcaster you referenced told us about Kishane Thompson about 6 months ago with very accurate predictions. He woke us up to him .
Not showing up could mean not getting tested.
This has Ben Johnson written all over it.
Look at the muscle mass
Another underrated performance from this meet in Hungary was De Grasse’s 19.98. In 2021 prior to the Olympics, the fastest De Grasse had run was 19.97 (with slightly better wind) at the exact same meet. His 100m SB right now is also almost identical as his pre-Olympic 2021 time, only 0.01 slower. Many people have been writing off De Grasse this year, but he’s shown himself to be in essentially identical form as in 2021 when he won gold in the 200m, bronze in the 100m, and silver in the 4x100m.
I was at the Canadian trials and people write him off because of his SB but he himself looks calm and collected about it I think he has everything under control and we will certainly see some fast times from him
hopefully he will win the gold!!
Andre DeGrasse ALWAYS perform when it's important... People forget that Andre was the original heir apparent to Usain Bolt
Won't be enough for the 200m, Kenny and Lyles ran faster than his PRs at the trials he's cooked
He will have to go somewhere he's never put his body before to win the 200M possible but unlikely he might medal but win well..... There is 1 scenario were he stands a chance. If Noah reacts himself in the 100M trying to win then he has a fair chance.

Kishane winning 9.68
There is such a thing as maximal efficiency..which translates "as fast as your body will allow you to get". even with nutrition, weight training, speed training, and proper physio treatment, most juniors don't get "faster and faster" as you put it..thru losing or injury or desire they drop off
He can run as fast as the speed limit in many cities. Crazy!

The Semi Finals will be faster than the Final ! PBs in the heat, then a lot of tired people! 😊
Lol
Lol not kishane tho.
Too much mad sports analyst, Hurricane can ease 9.82......, 3 more athletes cannot do that. Be quiet
I feel they may be true especially depending on the heats..
Everyone talking about his size gain. How many people in the top 10 fastest list where clean ?
High T and bbc genetics coupled with an adequate weight training program. Why is it if anyone puts on a little muscle we assume roids. I ran track in college also and if u see the change in my physique once I got into bodybuilding and learned about nutrition u with think I was on roids but just straight great Nigerian genetics
@@francisikwueme1688 I agree with you completely. There are guys walking around in Jamaica every day

Kishane is going 9.70 or under so the rest of them have no chance - that's my Olympic prediction
Bolt ran 9.58 into a headwind.
If Thompson gets favorable wind, that immortal world record could be in jeopardy.
If he don’t pound on his chest like a gorilla on the last 20 meters, I’d bet on an Olympic record
@@theone6189lmao pound on his chest like a gorilla 😂😂😂

I think it's logical to be a little curious about what Mr. Thompson has been doing the last couple of years. For a guy to be so inactive because of injuries and still be able to gain such a remarkable amount of lean muscle mass in such a short period of time is questionable. He doesnt even look like a track athlete, he looks more like a powerlifter. The dudes thighs are bigger than a lot of other guys whole body.
Did you compare his form from last year to this year?
Well if u are not running as much and doing much cardio u can our ok muscle . He still looks lean and under 200lbs like a typical nfl wide receiver. I ran track and played b-ball with a very high metabolism. Once I reduced the cardio intensive activities I put on serious Muscle also
Ask his world famous coach!
Ask his world famous coach!
At the 1:06 minute mark You said Kishane Thompson ran 9.58 instead of 9.85!
Everyone will have to run all out through the qualifying heats just to make it to the final in this years Olympics. 9.75 - 9.80 will get the gold. Kishane just forced everyone to up their game. He and Noah both have closing speed so it will be close!
No it wont, 9.8 cant close on 9.7
Noah cant even handle Seville. So he definitely can't handle Kishane, who showed us at Jamaica Trials that he is clearly faster than Seville. Noah might need to settle for the bronze.

This edition of the Olympics will be🔥🔥🔥
If the weather is fine and there is no head wind, it is going to be a very fast 100m final. To make the final will be very hard. To win will require everything to be perfect on the day. Sub 10.8 sec is spot on.
Tebogo will peak at the right time. Zero pressure.. watch out for that jogger😂
True but we don't think Kishane has peaked yet.

2:45 hey, you posted it on trayvon bromell's birthday!
