This was a very good interview of Graham's career. He sounded very modest and sincere in his feelings towards the music and other band members (esp. the original 10cc). This man should be given more credit for his musical contributions for his songwriting over the years and his talent on both bass and electric guitars.
Graham is such a lovely man and loves his 'work' and does it for thebest reason - he enjoys it, and that comes across in his concerts and interviews. I have a lot of respect for him and hope he continues for many years to come.
He soars above the unprepossessing setting in his candour and enthusiasm before he goes back to the Bus Stop.🤩 Definitely a guy with a Heartful of Soul.
Graham is spot on,the band IS sounding AMAZING. They came to my hometown Derry N'Ireland a few years ago & just blew us all away. What a brilliant song writer & fantastic musician. He inspired me to become a bass player with those melodic bass lines he used through the years.....10cc ROCK!;)
All 4 deserve highest credits. They are all 4 excellent musicians on their own rights. I fully agree w Mr. Gouldman. They all wrote excellent songs. Only one thing: I believe it was a big mistake Kevin Godley and Lol Creme went away. They should have stayed together, while working on side projects. 10cc needed the input and creativity of all 4 of them. 4 really brilliant musicians working together, that was the unique thing about this band.
Absolutely! I've always loved the way they took turns to do the lead vocals, and shared it on many great singles and album tracks. So many great sounds, harmonies and variations like, Rubber Bullets, The Dean and I, The Wall Street Shuffle, One night in Paris, Old Wild Men, Brand New Day, Flying Junk, Don't Hang Up etc. I really hope there will be a great 10cc tribute act one day, just there'd been for Queen and possibly ELO.
Saw 10cc with my dad lastnight , walking home from college everyday and seeing strawberry studio where my heroes such as paul mcartney recorded etc is very inspirational , aswell as fred perry , 10cc and this studio made stockport interesting for me as someone whos from there
I can’t believe he wrote no milk today. That is a ridiculously good song and I didn’t even know there was a connection between one of my favourite bands and one of my favourite songs damn
Graham is a pop writing wizard. I have always loved so much of his music all the while not knowing it was him that had written it. Thanks for this insightful interview! I will say though, no Eric...no 10cc...call it something else!
I've just seen them in concert and although we miss Eric the sound and quality and feeling was true 10cc thanks to Graham and his band who have been with him since 'Deceptive Bends' and for years since. Definitely 100% 10cc.
I totally agree Peter...they were ahead of their time..Alot of people remember them for for their singles, however they produced other excellant material.
They were amazing as 10cc and individuals they were unique. and Graham is such a prolific musician, he is one of those that are in the background and give so much and no one is aware
I remember seeing live at Portsmouth Guildhall back in the 80's sometime. Their guitar Amps were so powerful I could feel my heart beating! Their music and performance were great!
only 1 bad thing about this interview- that 'music' in the background...not my type of music, even if it was, it could have been interviewed in another plce..
I can't help but think he looks like the love child of Austin Powers and Harold Ramis. What a talented guy, through all of his various phases and bands. Wax was so underrated in the '80s.
10cc's classic period 1972-76 was down to the chemistry between the four artists.. One more decent album by Graham and Eric, Deceptive Bends, and then they weren't the same anymore. The material was simply not as good. Similar thing happened with other great groups, including the Beatles.

I went to see 10cc last night and they were fantastic, they really were.
I love the way the venetian blind is hanging at a jaunty angle. Very rock'n'roll.
I’m not in love is one of the greatest songs EVER WRITTEN & Recorded.
Had the pleasure of seeing 10CC about 15 years agao. BRILLIANT !

A very 'Manchester' feel to the song .

This is a nice guy as well as a very fine song writer. If you can catch him and the band, you will not be disappointed!

Recently saw 10cc. I was a little sceptical, but it was really entertaining. Plenty of a great songs to choose from.

This man write Heart Full of Soul and For Your Love. Performed by the Yardbirds
Aw, sorry to hear he and Eric are not communicating.
Sad...didn't realize that
True but they wouldn't be the first songwriting team to go seperate ways and not talk anymore..a bit like a marriage ending in divorce😣😣
GG is awesome.
only 1 bad thing about this interview- that 'music' in the background...not my type of music, even if it was, it could have been interviewed in another plce..
really great !
The music in the background is so annoying!!!!!!!
+Paul Self And the crooked miniblind.. AAAARRRRGH
I guess there is an album for me to buy :D
Great on Unkle's Never, never land.
hey that's a top of the range building site managers office cabin....only the best for our graham
What the hell is that back ground noise ?
What a great ethos for writing songs, don't rubbish it and bin it, best to add something and improve it.
Graham Gouldman still looks the same.
I can't help but think he looks like the love child of Austin Powers and Harold Ramis. What a talented guy, through all of his various phases and bands. Wax was so underrated in the '80s.
Someone should've straightened those blinds...

What's that squawking in the background?
Judging from the awfulness ; it's an example of current music ?
Sort of sums it up really..?
10cc's classic period 1972-76 was down to the chemistry between the four artists.. One more decent album by Graham and Eric, Deceptive Bends, and then they weren't the same anymore. The material was simply not as good. Similar thing happened with other great groups, including the Beatles.
