    To anyone going here in 2024.
    Good and accurate tutorial. However. I suggest you:
    - 2GB or lower with 8GB.
    - 2 to 4GB for 12GB
    - 4 to 8GB (can be risky if you're Windows is full of bloatware taking more RAM) if you have 16GB
    - 8GB if you have 32GB

      @FireCestina1200 i got a 4gb ram stuck and 32gb that can be changed so i can keep at 8 or 9?

    • @FireCestina1200
      @FireCestina1200 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@angelof_death4462 8GB of RAM allocated to VRAM will be better for more graphically demanding game. This can increase performance but not necessarily. And if your game does appear to use more VRAM that means it's prettier than before (usually if you use more VRAM there's more texture/higher resolution texture loaded)
      So yeah if you have 32GB totally go for 8GB of VRAM for iGPU/APU.
      Note that since the RAM is used as VRAM faster RAM will provide way higher performance.

    In case anyone is using the Asus A520 Motherboard, you may or may not encounter a problem where CSM gets disabled for some reason which will prevent booting your OS and you'll be kept in the BIOS menu. To prevent it you just need to go to Boot setting re-enable "Launch CSM" and press F10.

    0:53 CAUTION: HP likes to make their own drivers for stuff in their products so do NOT download the AMD drivers. Instead check through HP support assistant. If you download the AMD drivers from the site anyway, the driver will not work at all. This counts for all HP models with a Ryzen APU, including but not limited to OMEN, Victus, Pavilion and other models.

    Hello Bro. Nice video. I am a laptop user and planning to build a pc for the first time myself with ryzen 7 5700g, asrock b550m steel legend, 16x2 ddr4 and 512gb nvme ssd. It will be for video editing and casual gaming. Should I increase the Vram from the beginning and how much should I increase 4gb or 8 GB? And please comment about these specs. Will it be good for video editing and casual gaming?

    • @VendableCave
      @VendableCave  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Bro, what a surprise! This is the exact same PC that I built in April last year.
      Bro first of all you don't need to increase the VRAM manually on this motherboard. This is a very good motherboard! Just enable Above 4G Decoding and make sure Resize Bar is enabled. You might need to disable CSM manually first depending upon the BIOS version it already has. Rest, your system will automatically allocate 4GB VRAM to the iGPU.
      Also Bro what's the clock speed of the RAM Kit?
      Bro you can edit decent level videos upto 1080p without any issues.
      Bro I finished Gotham Knights, God of War, High On Life, Uncharted LOTC, etc. in Medium Settings at 720p using FSR Balanced. I got 30-60FPS in all these games. But remember that you cannot run newly launched games properly on this system like Dragon's Dogma 2, Alan Wake 2, Horizon II, etc.
      But don't worry Bro, you can always add any latest GPU in future to enhance your gaming experience.
      Also after installing the GPU, reset the BIOS to default, boot the system, then go to BIOS again and change the required settings and boot into the system to make everything stable.

      @@VendableCave Woww... I'm going to build same pc as yours 😂 Bro I'll get 3200 mhz ram with CL 16 or 18 as this cpu supports maximum of 3200 as per the Google.

    • @VendableCave
      @VendableCave  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great Bro! But Bro got with the 3,600 Mhz Model. It will boost the APU performance more.
      Yes you're right, but 3200 Mhz is only supported by the stock CPU frequency. When the CPU will boost itself beyond the stock speeds then the higher RAM clock speeds will help it a lot, which will also help in future.
      3,600 Mhz is a sweet spot, you can go beyond that too but it will have a tiny bit uplift performance, say it will provide around 1-3FPS more if you select 4000Mhz or more frequencies of RAM, so 3,600Mhz is a great price to performance ratio point.

    Guys, I found out that now I am not facing any issues after allocating 4GB to the VRAM from my system's physical memory. Even there's an increase in the stability of the games that I've tested so far! So yeah, if you have 16GB RAM (2X8GB) on your system, then you can increase the VRAM to 4GB.
    But it also depends upon the Motherboard and its BIOS. So if your system is running stable with 4GB VRAM & 12GB Physical RAM, then go for it! ;)
    P.S.- I updated this way ago in the description. Since YT don't allow us to see our own videos from our own account, so it becomes very difficult to comment in our own video. So that's why I updated it in the description before. Hence, thank you guys for your patience and understanding.

      So what's the final conclusion? Can I still increase my ryzen 3 2200g Vega 8 vram from 2gb to 3gb with 2x4gb dual channel ram? 😂 and btw my motherboard is the same as yours using the same bios, but there is no option like in the video 🥲 I use asus prime asus prime a320m-k

    • @VendableCave
      @VendableCave  ปีที่แล้ว

      No bro it's also same for dual channel 8GB. You need to have at least 16GB (2x8GB) RAM to enable Above 4G Decoding & use 4GB VRAM or above.
      Bro kindly check the manual of your motherboard. Also check for its latest BIOS updates.
      P.S.- Try to avoid updating the BIOS as it requires constant power supply to the system and later might lead to various issues. Only update the BIOS if you find that those features are available in the latest BIOS version.

    I think this is not relevant if you have a dedicated GPU with physical VRAM, right? In that case, the iGPU will only be used for GUI, simple animations and videos anyway, so 2GB should be plenty.
