  • You Can Feel It Coming In The Air Haulover Inlet Boats
Haulover Inlet is a man-made channel in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It connects the northern end of Biscayne Bay with the Atlantic Ocean. The inlet was cut in 1925 through a narrow point in the sand between the cities of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles.
The inlet entrance channel is 400 feet wide and 14 feet deep. It's dangerous to navigate because it features:
    Sandbars
    Rock walls
    Strong tide currents
    Gusty onshore winds
There is no speed limit at Haulover Inlet.

Really like the Mystic. Beautiful lines, and a more practical bow design than the Midnight Express.

The Phantom could be a Glen-L design. Looks like one of their trawlers. I don't have my design book handy to look it up. Always liked their Reliant design.

Thank you for your comment. We didn't know about Glen-L design until today, thanks to you. I'm attaching some context about Glen L in case anyone else reading this comment is also unfamiliar with them.
Glen-L Marine Designs is a company that provides boat plans and patterns for amateur builders, along with associated supplies and hardware kits. The company was founded in 1953 by Californian Glenn L Witt, who noticed a boom in the market for home-built boats in the 1950s. Glen-L has been the world's leading supplier of boat plans and patterns for amateur builders for more than 60 years.

@@HauloverInletBoats Awwwww... Shucks. Glad to help. Although most of the designs could be considered antiques, they are good designs and a whole lot of them are very doable for the average carpenter. They have fiberglass and steel plans too, so there's something for everybody. They also have basic frame kits ready to go for most models. Easy to find online and all the plans are there.

@@HauloverInletBoats Yeah, there are more than a couple designs in the work boat category that could be the Phantom. I just looked. Check it out.

Fountains are fastest. Look at all the Fountain design innovations on the not a Fountain boast. The stepped hull being the most obvious.
