Chocolatecake2001 I’m running what is suggested as the economy engine speed. I’m using the power reverser in most situations and only relying on the pedal for inching. Keep in mind that this tractor has emissions and running the tractor at low engine speeds for extended periods of time will result in the necessity for more regenerations of the emission system.
@@mbarber84 I would say that the economy revs relates to the pto speed. What capacity hyd pump has your tractor? Not having a go at you btw. Just genuinely interested in the tractor
@@jamesprentice7913 This tractor has the Pressure and Flow Compensated hydraulic system.I can not remember the flow rate at this moment. Don't worry you aren't offending me at all!! :-) If you have any more questions let me know and I`ll do my best to answer them. Deere really has not done a great job of marketing these tractors. Very little information out there from corporate. Most of the info out there is customer generated.
@@jamesprentice7913 You are correct about the engine speed based on economy for PTO. The tractor seems to be very easy on fuel, even running it at a higher engine speed. Running it this way seems to make the hydraulics respond a little better. I have a decent amount of experience with emissions systems on diesels and from what I have seen if you constantly run the engine at lower RPM you usually have emissions related issues because the system cant clean itself out as efficiently. The addition of diesel exhaust fluid as greatly increased the reliability of the system for sure. European 5R tractors are mostly emissions-free from what I have read.
Why do you run at such high RPM for loader work out of interest? Surely that makes it harder to set off smoothly when releasing the pedal?

Fair enough, it just seems excessive RPM really for such a low power job.
