The Ruling of Drawing Pictures or Cartoons The original ruling for this problem can be found in a hadith of the Prophet PBUH: مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً فَإِنَّ اللهَ مُعَذِّبُهُ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِحَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا "Whoever makes pictures, will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it." Sahih al-Bukhari (2225) In another narration, it states: كُلُّ مُصَوِّرِ فِى النَّا يَجْعَلُ لَهُ بِكُلِّ صُورَةٍ صَوَّرَهَا نَفْسًا فَتُعَذِّبُهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ "All the painters who make pictures would be in the fire of Hell. The soul will be breathed in every picture prepared by him and it shall punish him in the Hell," Sahih Muslim (3945) and Imam Ahmad in his Musnad Right after that, Ibnu Abbas said: إِنْ كُنْتَ لا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَاصْنَعْ الشَّجَرَ وَمَا لَا نَفْسَ لَهُ "If you have to do it at all, then paint the pictures of trees and lifeless things;" Drawing creatures is the most heavy 'shirk', "Allah said, 'Who are most unjust than those who try to create something like My creation?" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7559) That is mean drawing is "shirk" to rival God in creating creation (living creature) Shirk in islam means ascribing a partner/ rival to Allah in lordship. Al-'Aini said: "Drawing any living creature (carving of idols) is prohibited, for it is worshipped in the times of the Jahiliyyah. It is prohibited even if it has no shadow or do not consist of matter (referring to drawings and paintings), to close the doors of misdeeds." Refer 'Umdah al-Qari Syarh Sahih al-Bukhari (18/162) All these prohibitions are in the form of Sad al-Zari'ah (closing the doors of misdeeds) in fear that it could be an object of worship and harming our belief. Whoever died in shirk will be in hell forever “indeed, Allah does not forgive the sin of syirk, and he forgives the sin other than that for whom he wills” (annisa 48)
@@miket7390 Venus flytraps are a different kind of plant, not tasty and more alive than others. It’s really different from alot of plants. We don’t eat random grass on the ground.
@Hut exactly my point! The person saying its murder by default has to be a murderer. They do far worse than what we saw here. Yet don't have the wherewithal to grasp that. Everything kills. Humans are taught not to kill other humans and certain things otherwise he would kill each other like we do flies or rats in the pantry just trying to eat. All while not thinking twice about it.
@Hut and to take it one step further. Most people know exactly how chicken nuggets are made and where they come from. They like me just don't care. If you pluck its feathers I'll ring it's neck and bleed it. I just find the microwave version easier. People aint dumb 4 year olds know that nugget was at one point a breathing chicken. Don't confuse naive with not caring! I realize everything I eat is a gift I'm lucky to enjoy. Soon enough the worms and maggots will make a meal of me. And the chickens will eat them and so goes this thing of ours.
I haven't felt so much pain, sadness and annoyance watching an insect eat a plant. @@hughmungus1562 that makes no sense. Do you want people to not eat anything? You are mad they’re sad about a plant but calling them a hypocrite for eating animals? Would you rather them feel sad for a plant and then go eat plants? Even if it was an animal it would still be acceptable to feel empathy for it even though you eat meat. It was thrown into an environment just to be killed for no good reason at all, we kill and eat animals to survive but we also live with animals like cats and dogs for companionship. Eating other animals for energy is just part of nature. Are crocodiles and lions evil for hunting other animals?

@@tbone7463 You have saved the endangered flytraps. How can we ever repay you for your kind wisdom and knowledge? You shall be rewarded with gold and silver, my friend.
@Hut you know, that makes no sense. Like so many plants, they've been saved by commercial propagation. Half the plants alive now would be gone if people didn't propagate them.
Any worm of any type are destructive, Tape worms, meal worms, even earthworms, I hate worms in general! And yes, gummy worms are included as sugar is unhealthy Lol
The time lapse shows that the durability of a flytrap is enough to keep up with this many critters, it was only when it died of thirst and malnourishment that it got weak. The plant started decomposing and thats when these meal worms had an advantage, their food was breaking down infront of them and making it easier to chew. I always wondered why in nature, bugs dont just chew their way out of a flytrap, And I guess I found my answer, theyre durable enough to withstand biting, or, their surface offers no leverage for a bite to clamp down on. I'm actually not sure if those meal worms managed much progress at the end of the video, looks about the same as it did when it fully dried up, I think the venus won here.
If the government and gas prices were related ok maybe… Instead look at the companies / shipping companies and the increases (1000%) put into place just because they want to (greed).
Is that sarcasm? You didn't realise if a Venus flytrap is taken away from fresh soil and everything it needs to survive it will wither and die, and then worms will start eating the remains?
@tinkeringtim7999 uh, no, I'm actually confused by my comment a little bit, but, I think it would make sense if I got distracted at the beginning and didnt see that the plant wasnt in the ground (which is what I had expected this video to be presenting). Otherwise I wouldn't have been so excited by what I perceived as an upset in the fight, because if you kneecap one of the contestants, of course upsets are more likely. These plants cannot eat too much or else they'll die. If every single one of these traps were fed at a time, the plant would probably die of an overdose of food.
But it could certainly eat quite a few worms with its traps.
Rest in peace, carnivore plant (Venus flytrap), you won't be forgotten.

The Ruling of Drawing Pictures or Cartoons
The original ruling for this problem can be found in a hadith of the Prophet PBUH: مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً فَإِنَّ اللهَ مُعَذِّبُهُ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِحَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا
"Whoever makes pictures, will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it." Sahih al-Bukhari (2225) In another narration, it states: كُلُّ مُصَوِّرِ فِى النَّا
يَجْعَلُ لَهُ بِكُلِّ صُورَةٍ صَوَّرَهَا نَفْسًا
فَتُعَذِّبُهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ
"All the painters who make pictures would be in the fire of Hell. The soul will be breathed in every picture prepared by him and it shall punish him in the Hell," Sahih Muslim (3945) and Imam Ahmad in his Musnad Right after that, Ibnu Abbas said:
إِنْ كُنْتَ لا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَاصْنَعْ الشَّجَرَ وَمَا لَا نَفْسَ لَهُ "If you have to do it at all, then paint the pictures of trees and lifeless things;" Drawing creatures is the most heavy 'shirk',
"Allah said, 'Who are most unjust than those who try to create something like My creation?" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7559) That is mean drawing is "shirk" to rival God in creating creation (living creature) Shirk in islam means ascribing a partner/ rival to Allah in lordship.
Whoever died in shirk will be in hell forever
“indeed, Allah does not forgive the sin of syirk, and he forgives the sin other than that for whom he wills” (annisa 48)
the amount of energy the Venus Fly trap requires to eat one worm...
This is murder bro 😭
How do you eat? What do you call that? Animal eats plant it's murder you eat plants its....?
@@miket7390 Venus flytraps are a different kind of plant, not tasty and more alive than others. It’s really different from alot of plants. We don’t eat random grass on the ground.
@@TheresNoWay. so is it murder to eat a plant? Lol
I'm not sure if this guys has any knowledge or just wanted to attract viewers with that caption because literally venus fly trap takes hours to digest a single fly so we were expecting to watch them feed on these worms but instead first got chopped off and then placed to be fed upon alive
Of course the mealworms won. Venus fly traps take like 14 days to digest anything and it takes a lot of energy to do it
You literally just killed a beautiful, healthy Venus fly trap for no good reason 😭
Sad for a plant but you all eat animals what hypocrisy
I legit thought it was gonna be the flytraps eating the worms
Nah, too many worms and most of them looked like they already ate, also digestion takes a while so like the other person said, this was murder.

Nice job! You pulled a plant from the soil and water it needs to survive and watched it slowly die.. you should do one of the grass from your lawn vs ants next. I wonder what would happen there 🤔
That plant looks like it mostly just dried up :/
@@Zackisnotdeadyou're right. They have to have special soil to live too. Regular dirt will kill them.
@@Mark-ff3vo Yeah, doesn’t look like the mealworms even did much damage. Even under the “experiment” guise, they could have just cut a part of the plant and given it to the mealworms instead of just throwing an expensive plant in for certain death.

Of course I’m rooting for the Venus fly trap because I own one but I knew the mealworms would kill the fly trap! It wasn’t a fair fight.
10,000 mealworms really! Ridiculous.
So you've literally cut it's roots off then stuck it in a tank for 27 hours so the plant could die slowly?
I'm glad that the people in the comments feel the same way. I felt so sad for that once beautiful venus fly trap. It felt like plant cruelty for some reason.

10,000 of anything can be destructive. Think of 10,000 Donald Trumps.
I was expecting a 4 month timelapse of the fly trap slowly eating all of the worms - doesn't it take days just to digest one worm?
Venus flytrap was outnumbered. 15 worms to the Venus flytrap plant would have been interesting.
I was expecting a Venus flytrap feasting to these worms. Well, here we are.
Venus flytraps : ohh there's much food
Worms : no that's not enough for us
Looks like a valuable plant was wasted which is an endangered species
Thank you sir for destroying the plant 🌵
Venus fly trap: WOW! FOOD!
27hours later.....
???
🏜
The time lapse shows that the durability of a flytrap is enough to keep up with this many critters, it was only when it died of thirst and malnourishment that it got weak.
The plant started decomposing and thats when these meal worms had an advantage, their food was breaking down infront of them and making it easier to chew.
I always wondered why in nature, bugs dont just chew their way out of a flytrap,
And I guess I found my answer, theyre durable enough to withstand biting, or, their surface offers no leverage for a bite to clamp down on.
I'm actually not sure if those meal worms managed much progress at the end of the video, looks about the same as it did when it fully dried up, I think the venus won here.
When outnumbered, the predator becomes prey
Or dehydrates and dies
Now try 10.000 Venus fly traps vs. 1 mealworm.
Not sure why I thought this would de-stress me before my maths exam lol

No water
To much worms

0:16 a Mealworm gets trapped before all the others devour the plant
It was all part of their strategy. They needed one to act as a decoy and sacrifice itself so the plant then couldn't eat any more

I would have bet on the wrong horse in this fight I didn't even realize what happened was POSSIBLE, wow. Thanks for posting!
Watching it again I can only assume this to be the reason I would say what I did.
@@LordIronfist indeed, that makes sense. It's not like one would expect it to be a video of a plant dumped in a bowl on a long time-lapse, I think expecting that is probably worse than missing it at the beginning tbh.
