RIP Bernie. Was never really a Whitesnake fan. I didn’t intend to watch this as it came up on my feed but that was 30 minutes very well spent what an entertaining and lovely bloke Bernie was and an extremely good player too. His Wings story was very funny
Bernie is Whitesnake. Had the pleasure of seeing and meeting him here in Denmark in ‘98. Together with Don Airy and band- he played one WS hit after another. His Compositions! F’in legend!!!😊
Who the hell disliked this? Some Steve Vai fans? This was such a great video and it's always a pleasure to see something from Bernie. Such a humble gentleman and a fine guitarist, what more could one ask for!
Thanks Bernie. Realy enjoyed the vid. My mate saw you a while back wen you did a gig up Manchester way with Jim Kirkpatrick and he speaks highly of your gigs and reminicences. Talking of Peter Green , i met him back in '69 wen Fleetwood Mac did a gig in Manchester. He was a lovely man, he even gave me his phone number and said to ring him if i ever wanted to chat. He even dedicated Albatross to me . He has been a big influence on my blues playing over the years and i feel privaliged to have met him. Keep up the great vids and the blues alive 👍🎸
If you get the chance to see Bernie Marsden live....GO! Make time.....you can't appreciate just how good he is until you see and hear him live....and such an incredibly nice and interesting man....👍
I've been listening to Bernie, and WhiteSnake for many years; younger generations, finally, have the chance to know that it was Bernie and Moody that started it all!!!
Hey Bernie, I really enjoy hearing you speak. I’m almost 70 so I remember Peter G. I heard you sing for the first time. I’m sending this to comment how beautiful your voice is and your interpretation of “here I go”
It is scary how real that guitar looks. I thought for sure it was a real old one until he talked about it. It actually even sounds like an old one. it lacks that clarity of an old one, but it is about the best reissue I have ever heard.
MAAaaaan, that 40 minutes flew! I was like....has it been 40 minutes already?? I wasn't watching the timer , I was playing my Gibson's along...my LP & SG. What a thoroughly pleasant near-hour! 😊👍
me and a friend saw Whitesnake as opener for ACDC in 1980 and we both buy the Whitesnake record because the Music was very good. And ! we saw the best Whitesnake Lineup ! :)
I saw a youtube video of Bernie join the latest version of whitesnake on stage. It was great and very nostalgic. I dont think we'll ever see a reunion though well because Jon Lord has passed away and it wouldnt be the same without Jon.
@@markgowans With all the respect to Jon I have to say he wasn't the vital part of that songs. So... Bernie, Ian, Neil, David, Micky... What an evening it would be! Maybe at the R'n'r Hall of fame induction? Why not?)
Cornucopia totally agree but problem is David Coverdale can’t sing great anymore and he snubbed the early musicans to break America with pretty boys rather than keep the best line up with Bernie n Micky
I was lucky enough to see them live twice, their first two tours (Trouble and Love Hunter). They were incredible. A truly great live band. Mistreated live when Coverdale was young and still at full vocal power was a truly awesome experience. And Bernie and Mickey Moody were a terrific pair of guitarists.
@@bobito8997 class, My older mates went to see them, I was 12 and my mother wouldn't let me go!! Gutted. Six months later she let me go and see iron maiden, status quo and ufo! Never saw Whitesnake though.
Im on youtube everyday and videos with bernie in them are the only ones to never have negative comments in the comments section. Think about it! If you can get negativity off of youtube videos im pretty sure you can cure cancer or something. Lol love his vids
Well, I am just about to turn 60, so I think it is now time for Gibson to donate a 1958 Les Paul to me in celebration of having been born at the same time as the classic year for Les Pauls!
Not only is Bernie an exceptional Guitarist but he is also a very down to earth complete and utter Gentleman.
Another great guitar hero has his wings fly high Bernie 🙏🎸
Thanx for mentioning Michael Bloomfield, Bernie 🙏🪷
After Bernie's passing this song means something different.
RIP Bernie. Was never really a Whitesnake fan. I didn’t intend to watch this as it came up on my feed but that was 30 minutes very well spent what an entertaining and lovely bloke Bernie was and an extremely good player too. His Wings story was very funny

I wondered that too. What could you possibly dislike.
People tend to dislike for the sake of it no reason at all, if it had a Fb angry emoji they'd do that as well.
Dagger the world is full of tone deaf people.

I'd love to hear one of one of those 59s in the hands of doug Aldrich. That would definitely liven up the party. Great video.

Great player and such a lovely man.

About time too
Early Whitesnake were the best. It would be great to see a classic era reunion/album.
I saw a youtube video of Bernie join the latest version of whitesnake on stage. It was great and very nostalgic. I dont think we'll ever see a reunion though well because Jon Lord has passed away and it wouldnt be the same without Jon.

Does anyone know what model amp Bernie was playing here and what pedal he was switching on for drive sounds?
Great 👍
Awesome player, singer!
Genius!!
Well, I am just about to turn 60, so I think it is now time for Gibson to donate a 1958 Les Paul to me in celebration of having been born at the same time as the classic year for Les Pauls!
your maths are somewhat out of whack, 1958-2018 is 60 years. '58 was a classic year for Les Paul, 52 might be their original development date.
good luck that's a co run by greed!
Trying to make my Gibson Les Paul to sound like his 59' les paul right now with brighter sounding Gibson pickups and different value caps.
"Play how you wanna play and that's important".
Does anybody know what brand and size frets were installed on Berie's '59 Beast?
