The porta rest is also very handy if you happen to have an old camera tripod lying around. The bag cradle can be unscrewed and the thread is same as a tripod ball and socket head. Great for round the garden at different distances
Day 9 👍 A super video. Have been using a shooting bag filled with rice, works pretty well but have wondered about a bipod or table stand. Think the table stand you demonstrated looks like the ticket as it’ll allow easy swopping of PCP’s over having a fixed bipod. I’ll definitely google Porta Aim with the intention of buying one. Great advice, cheers 😁
I was a fitter working on Trent buses one of the men had been there twenty five years and he got a tie pin. It sailed across the workshop like a rocket. Happy Christmas all.
I fill my bags with plastic pellets designed to fill doorstops etc..not dusty doesn't absorb moisture bit more expensive than catlitter or rice but you'll never need to change it 👍👍
@gardenguns thanks ,any chance on a link to your shooting bag, just got and old hold all nightmare searching through for things when at range especially when you remember you took it out the week before
@ sp my range bag is from a company called Kombat and it is the tactical Saxon 35L. My bag rest is the Milbro one however there are plenty of other manufacturers. Local gun shop should have something in stock for the bag rest. Range bag from a mill serp shop. If there are no shops in your area, you can get everything off Amazon.
The portal aim is brilliant for bench work, use it most times, and the GEN3 is great for HFT, but although it's better than arsing around on the floor in normal HFT, they don't make you marksman of the year ( well not in my case anyway) my Mrs bought mine for xmas last year.. And she uses em as much, sneaky old dear... 😅

@@stevebettany8778 happy Christmas Steve. 🎄🎅🎁
Just remembered when he opened the little box the head of the tie pin fell off. It was thirty years ago.
Hi, I use the Rokstad and it's a great little rest for garden and range shooting, nice vid and really enjoyed it.
Those trigger sticks are brilliant.
