Bought asalvia from the army surplus store every summer as a teen. Put thousands of bulldog pellets through them. By the end of summer they were usually worn out or had broken mainsprings. That was around 55 years ago. Don’t have a 619 anymore but did buy a mint model 630 a couple years ago. Great accurate plinkers.
Merry Christmas Chuck to you and your family. Your channel is going from strength to strength and rightly so! Thank you for all the videos this year. Happy shooting and take care.
Awesome video Chuck! You have some great nostalgia there....two lovely looking classics. It's amazing how good the old guns look and how well they were built compared to today's standards. Looks like you have quite a bit of snow. Wishing you and your family a very special Christmas 🎄 Thanks so much for your friendship and support this year 💪💪
@@airgunnostalgia4210 Thank you so much Anton!😃👍 Looks like we are going to have a warming trend for the weekend, with highs up to 45°F. Great video sir. I am into vintage airguns myself. The first rifle reminded me of classic Dianas, but then again, somehow different in detail. Keep it up, and greetings from a subscriber in Denmark.
We used to pour way too much oil through that hole on top of the compresion chamber. I used to use the same oil my grandma used in her sawing machine. My gun, old Gamo with the same kind of hole, was dieseling very often. You cocked it and there was smoke coming out from the barrel at the pellet hole in the breech. The back iron sight looks very similar to the one on my old gun. Maybe at that time there were not many manyfacturers and they shared similar designs. God bless.
Never heard of the 19! Seen plenty of 618’s, I own a 630. Seen seen 631’s That’s an oddball. Cool to see. You would like the 630 or 31. They are adult size rifles
How do you like your 630? - I kick myself for not buying a 631 a few years back when they were $99 That was right around Christmas time, shortly after that they just disappeared and I haven't seen a nice one for sale since.
With the leather seals you can soak them in conditioning oil something like saddle oil if they're not too damaged ,it works well and keeps things nice and original, I know it works with old hw35's ..love that you want to keep vintage rifles going a rifle that isn't used is just an ornament..a very merry Christmas to you and your family 👍👍
The newer b2 had three and the one i have is in 177 and it shoots very well at 10 .5ftlbs and man made compression seal and its beautiful rifle good wood nice blueing for a cheap rifle and every one laughing the trigger had many that were worse shoot them put a hundred pellets and a good scope and once its scoped not a big expensive scope a Nikkosterling 4x42 Ao mildot and eliminated green and red i have them on most of my rifles and never had a problems with they are scoped never move

The image was a little blurry but it looked like the Spanish rifle had the German frei mark on the breach block. A lot of European makers will add the mark if the rifle/pistol's power is low enough to be sold in Germany. My Webley pistols all have the mark. That would mean that the rifle came from the factory at 7.5 joules ... maybe it was tuned after.
@@bensimard5574 Thank you Ben!😃👍 I was shooting a day ago and it sounded like it was hitting hard, but the sound changed with more spring noise. So I took it apart and the piston seal was falling apart like brittle wax. I put the replacement piston seal in that came with the rifle and it fell apart too. The piston seal also had a plastic plate on top of the piston seal, I'm guessing to reduce the power. I found a replacement seal but not a mainspring. If you know of one, let me know. Thank you.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 I did a little digging for the make and model of the Spanish rifle. I knew that Beeman sold Norica's from the mid-1990's to the mid 2000's but wasn't sure about your gun as it's from the early 80's and I don't have and Beeman catalogues that old. Anyway, it looks like your rifle is a restocked Norica 73... I hope that helps.
The Slavia is about 50+ old. I use to have the newer model from 1980. Much nicer looking. With sights as good as the Diana’s sights. At the time 500 crony.($25). Nice looking, but not much power.
