Glad I saw this before buying. They are very good for turning a counter or table into a big practice pad, but they remove most of the definition from cymbal strokes and don't reduce drum volume by much.
Have these, they work perfect for anyone wondering if they should get them. But, other than my usual drum kit, I'm in marching band, and I use Vic Firth Ralph Hardimann Corpmaster sticks, and the tips will not fit over those. If you're in marching band, they won't fit on your sticks
amazing its really opened my eyes to maybe getting these! well done gabe amazing job yet again i would love to help your channel out as best as i can so im sharing your videos everywher😂
I've seen these before and I knew what the they did and stuff but after watching you play drums with them...oh man I need to buy me some! I love the sound it puts on the toms and it kinda expands the way you think when playing with them on the kit because you can make cool grooves that build up on a cymbals as a fill which is way different then anything I've seen before. Anyways, great review and I hope that made sense.
these things are so good for marching sticks, marching drummers beat their drums a lot harder than almost all kit players and it’s so nice not leaving HUGE marks on everything
I agree these are good but nobody else has pointed this so far (idk if it's just me) but these make your sticks vibrate a lot. My wrists actually ended up hurting after a while. So personally i'd rather have a small practice pad, idk if feels like they're damaging my wrists :/
Do you have tips for strengthening your weak hand? When i try to go fast with my left hand my wrist shakes way more than my right hand and sometimes my forearm tenses up
Lmao, that intro killed me. These tips look amazing (especially if you travel a lot). Sadly, it does not ship to Europe (neither to both my homes in the Netherlands, nor Denmark) :(
+Lucas Bruno The "Extreme" series is just a half inch longer than the standard size. So extreme 5A's are 16.5 inches long and 5A's are just 16 inches long.
@@tristanfox872 The sound from the table is the point, what other sound could you be talking about? The surface you play on is generating/is the source of the vast majority of the sound created, not the sound that the sticks make in and of themselves. Practice tips seemed just as loud as the regular tips to me or close to it and since the pitch is lower that tip sound would penetrate thru walls to a greater degree generating more noise complaints. Also the inherent lack of height adjustment from using the tips, which the practice pad stand setup provides, needs to be considered. It can often be difficult to find a stable surface with the correct height for ergonomics and “correct” form. The practice tips seem to only be an advantage when traveling or away from home and for relatively short periods of time as stick balance and feel is affected by both increased front of center weight and increased tip diameter among other factors.
Still helping people after 8 years, thanks bro
You’re the biggest drum nerd and I love it. You’re the man dude. Thanks for all the awesome videos.

Good to know! Thanks Cole.
Yeah, vic firth advertises that they work on almost any kit and concert stick.
Cole Gargano yeah, i actually perfer to play with marching sticks because i like the fatter heads, even though im not in a marching band

Hey that's awesome! Thanks so much for watching and sticking around!
+Drum Beats Online "sticking" around LOLOLOLOL
The real question remains; do they fit on Ralph Hardimon marching snare sticks?
Zachary Volt no
Zachary Volt yes
No, but they made the Hardimon chop outs for that reason.
Zachary Volt If they don't we riot
The only marching sticks they fit on are Vic Firth Thom Hannum sticks
Dude your snare sounds amazing ..what's your secret

You are one of my favourite drummers

Your my favorite drummer
That's a great invention
+Ben Giancotti I agree!
cool sticks man ! your videos are fresh and original!
Thanks so much friend!

Yeah they are super cool! I'm glad you liked them!
What would you think about using these on like the Roland SPD with gum rubber pads to save the pads from wear?
Thanks you drum beat

Make more test😉😉👏 your good at it and its fun!!!!
New reviews every Monday!
too bad there isnt something like this for tenor players or i might just not know what sticks are compatible.
BRB, getting these right now
Awesome review. I think this are pretty cool
Thanks dude!

I haven't experienced that issue. Maybe it has something to do with your grip?
It could be your actual sticks and not the tips.
Honestly i don't know i've never had this happen to my wrist before even though i hit quite :/
Such a good drummer
Thanks!!

Skip to 3:00 to get to the actual point of the video........
Vic Firth now makes these in a larger size specifically for marching sticks. They are red and should fit the Ralph Hardimon sticks.
I have Vic firth signature sticks
Will they fit?
Can you make list rudiments what you played on desk?
Do these work on all drum sticks
Lmao, that intro killed me. These tips look amazing (especially if you travel a lot). Sadly, it does not ship to Europe (neither to both my homes in the Netherlands, nor Denmark) :(
Weird, have you checked your local music store? I live in Cyprus, basically in the middle of nowhere and i still found them.
Emilios Antoun I will have a look; might have a better chance than Amazon!
Have you tried www.bax-shop.nl? I just bought them there!
Niek de Vries I was about to check - at least you confirmed they sell them there; thank you!
Haha no problem at all!
Do they fit on my MT1A tenor mallets??
Extreme what kind of question is that?
Thats a yes
According to other comments I’ve seen on this video, they won’t even fit on marching snare sticks
Man that sucks
do they wor with other sticks (los cabos, tama, vater, etc.)
Yup!
Would these fit on marching sticks?
i'm not positive, but from what I hear sometimes they do not fit on marching sticks.
Do they fit on any brand named sticks?🤔
+Joshua Cannady yes they should!
Do you think these tips will be enough to mute my drumset? I need to mute it, because my neighbours are complaining, but i really don't want to..
I think it will really mute the cymbal volume, but I don't think you'll get the drum volume down too much unfortunately.

this + mesh heads could be a solution
anyway, after all this time I gues they already had killed u
What size drum stick tip do these fit up to?
UNIVERSAL practice tips
They barely fit on 5Bs
Beginner question? What does the extreme mean on an extreme 5a sticks?
+Lucas Bruno The "Extreme" series is just a half inch longer than the standard size. So extreme 5A's are 16.5 inches long and 5A's are just 16 inches long.
1:10 that voice crack tho😂
It gets me every time!!
its endorsment video right?
Nope! I'm not endorsed by anyone.
Would these fit on pr2s ?
Buy some and try them on those led sticks that light up.
Demo : 3:02
Can someone PLEASE tell me if these fit on nylon tips
I don't think you should have any issue with nylon tips. I'm not positive though. I think the only sticks they don't fit are marching sticks.
yes they fit on my 7a nylon
I live near auburn hills
I have Vic firth chop outs which are 5b with those rubber tips Glued on them 😂😂😂
Yse i like it
stack looking a little to close to the ride there!
I like to live on the edge.
Drum Beats Online lol
Fire first
I bought these but the only thing is, it left a couple grey marks on my table, wasnt even playing hard😭
Oh shoot, I haven't experienced that at all! Sorry to hear that they didn't work out for you.
Thanks, but I already have sticks that have rubber tips so...
They don't work on water. That's a -rep for me
Carpet?
Nice. could you please give a lesson for the beat at 4:19
I bought something similar just because i cant even afford a practice pad let alone a drumkit
1:09
lol probably not quieter but less annoying
You can just make a mold from like duct tape or air dry clay
Your not supposed to have the tips on while playing
For other reasons lol
Even when the tips are on it’s still pretty loud lol
That’s just a sound from the table, my friend has some of these and they work great
