Thanks Scott, yep I hear ya on the lining up, not looking forward to it to be honest but, I have a stack of shims ready, and need to build on my patience level LOL, Cheers Bud
Thanks Big Bro, appreciate it. On your ALS ice Bucket challenge video, I kept having a tune playing around in my head, it was " I was born under a wandering star ", don't know why? Maybe the Lee Marvin taking a bath in the river thing!
Holy freakin' CRAP,Scotty!! You pounded that out like nobody's business!! And in such a small space, too... damn. Oh, when I see cat prints on the car, I get livid.. the cat knows he's not supposed to go in the shop, but sometimes he sneaks in...
Thanks Reuben, appreciate it, yep it is a bit of a bugger having to move stuff in and out but, i'm glad I have it LOL, Yep what about that blooming cat what a cheek ! Cat fur round my gearbox!!
Botha if we had an Award for Iron Man Garage in th YTGG, You Broltha are the one id Nominate Hands down, ..Awesome are you goin to Seam Seal where the front an rear of the body join?
Thanks Bro, appreciate it, yep I'm going to seal it off at the last minute when I'm certain i dont have to wriggle the body about any more, it took bloody ages last time to just to get the doors to stay shut LOL, backwards, forwards, left a bit, right a bit, ha ha
Going back together beautifully as expected. Too bad about the loss of the cat's gym. Maybe you could find another frame for him to use when you get the garage empty.
I expect so, just hoping we dont end up with any little rust spots appearing where I dont have top coat, and hope we dont end up getting all the rain you guys have had!
Haha would be easier if I were a thinner bloke LOL, I had to decide between shortening the remote on the gear box or moving the handbrake back a bit, so went for the handbrake option, should work out ok, someone in the back can pull the handbrake on LOL, cheers bud
Hi me and my son have been watching your channel with interest and have decided to get a triumph herald convertible to restore we have done the chassis and bulk head and bought the fixing kit. 2 questions. 1. Would you use the the rubber washers that come with the kit ? 2. Where do the thick aluminium washers go ? Do you have a Facebook page ? Keep up the good work.
Now i do like a good chandelier but you take it too far lol :-)) Hey you did all that work on the chassis, im not supprised the body fits so nicely, give yourself a pat on the back mate, perfect engineering :-) I do like your diy cushing washers, makes the bought ones look very piddley. Ahh my mate with the herald convertable + drenched clutch, the gearbox to bell housing doesnt have a seal of the rubber type, its an odd archimedes screw that pulls the oil back into the box when the engine is driving the box, bloody silly design ha ha. Its happy now, but the back outriggers had to be changed as the back wheel anker rods were not exactly held solid, the outriggers had turned into rust with a hint of metal lol.
Hahah cheers mate. you ok? glad your pal is working throught the teething troubles LOL on his Herald, that bloody rust just seems to part of the deal doesn;t it. Appreciate your comments, cheers
Its always nice when the bolt's line up now comes the tightening loosening and shimming to get them door gaps back. Its great to have it together.
Thanks Scott, yep I hear ya on the lining up, not looking forward to it to be honest but, I have a stack of shims ready, and need to build on my patience level LOL, Cheers Bud
Scott, this is a big day! Body back on the chassis and no alignment issues at all! WOW, great job.
Vincent is looking mighty fine . Good to see him coming back together .
Looking good Scott , nice work ! :)
Hiya Matt, thank you mate, yep getting closer to the end, then its hot rod time woo-hoo
Awesome Scott, glad the body fit so nicely on the frame for you. Good stuff.
Thanks mate, nice not to have to bar it accross just to get the bolts in!
You really have to be creative in a small space. Its looking like its going well, it's fun to follow the progress.
Yep its good fun, but luckily we have little cars here! LOL Thanks fo watching
Its tons better than when it was first made! Awesome fit!
Thanks Big Bro, appreciate it. On your ALS ice Bucket challenge video, I kept having a tune playing around in my head, it was " I was born under a wandering star ", don't know why? Maybe the Lee Marvin taking a bath in the river thing!

Good bit of progress there Scott. It is a pity that the weather has turned so quickly in the UK
Hiya Keith, thanks Sir, yep it did turn quick, it was all my own fault, Mary and I had 3 days in the tent! LOL
Going back together beautifully as expected. Too bad about the loss of the cat's gym. Maybe you could find another frame for him to use when you get the garage empty.
Thanks Bruce, I wish I was so confident, but yep very pleased when the bolts all popped in without persuasion!
Lotsa work but coming along nicely...I make all my rubber mounts with conveyor belt.
Thanks Wendell, yep they seem to do the well I think? Cheers

Very Interesting :-)
I'm sure Vincent understands why he's outside...
I expect so, just hoping we dont end up with any little rust spots appearing where I dont have top coat, and hope we dont end up getting all the rain you guys have had!
Great job Scott as you don't have much space to manoeuvre and working on your own. Is the gear shift an issue as it seems further back ?
Haha would be easier if I were a thinner bloke LOL, I had to decide between shortening the remote on the gear box or moving the handbrake back a bit, so went for the handbrake option, should work out ok, someone in the back can pull the handbrake on LOL, cheers bud
