I love your toilet. I'm a landscaper and don't have access to a toilet for most of the day. I carry a basic 5 gallon bucket that I use to squat on and a wide mouth wine carafe for the stand up stuff and take care of nature. As soon as I saw you sitting there I recognized the 'piece of furniture" :0 As they say 'KISS... keep it simple....'
I love all the cabinet storage space. It's just me and I don't need a lot of room for a bed and such but really need a lot of storage. Very nice unit, very simple and practical.
I see many great conversions. Been class b RVing for the last 5 years. From Alaska to the Florida Keys. Need a bathroom with tanks for dump station. A US standard. Cassette toilets, no way. That’s the problem with private, maybe very good, conversations. No waterworks!
Great design...very practical but stylish. My parents have a T5 and have been looking for inspiration and I think they’ll love this! Thanks for sharing! We even picked up some ideas for our own van build 😊✌🏼
@@patous1979 Referring to Edward Hughes' comment, as in italian dreaming about converting I can tell that rules are even stricter here (bureaucratic nightmare level). In which country did you get the body type changing/approval? UK or Italy?
We wanted to be stealthy and for this reason, surfboards are always inside as they're shortboards. In the front when we stop and in the "lounge" while traveling! With a longboard, I would have fitted roof racks. The point is, it's a small van and you have to compromise... instagram.com/hirothevan/ if you want to find out how we live in it!
"We decided to go for a van because I love surfing and as a surfer you have these dream of traveling with a surfboard waking up in the beach" Show the van... No space for the surfboard...
Hey, nice conversion, looking at a similar layout for mine (also swb t5). Do you not have trouble accessing the pop-top roof bed? as you have the cupboards directly behind the seats?
We wanted to be stealthy and for this reason, surfboards are always inside as they're shortboards. In the front when we stop and in the "lounge" while traveling! With the cab blocked..guessing you have to get out and then get back in?.which I heard not good for boon docking..because you don't won't people to know you're sleeping in your van.
Hey Nate! My husband and I are wanting to do a bus conversion in the next year or so. Do you think your Van Conversion Guide would be beneficial for us?

In the UK. That is obviously a camper but if you tried to get it classified as a camper with the DVLA it would not pass the new rules as you cant stand up in it with the pop top down as a pop top dosent count. I think the DVLA are trying to stop stelth campers.
It doesn’t mean anything unless you want to register it as a camper. And as long as the van does what you want and you have the correct insurance what’s it matter.
@@tubedarrenI agree although I dont know how it affects the insurance cost and I did see a video where the price of a ferry crossing was half as much because it was a camper. I havent gone into it too much yet as this lock in has put my van buying plans titsup.
Edward Hughes there’s not really anything in it, there are companies out there that will still insure it as a camper even if it isn’t registered as one. In regards to the ferry’s I’m not so such, but I’ve been on the Eurotunnel a few times and the price was the same whether I selected camper van or normal van. In my opinion I would rather have a van exactly how I wish to have it, insured as a modified van rather than something built to meet the DVLA requirements just so it can be registered as a “camper” - ps if you are thinking about getting a VW transporter take a look on my channel I’m always uploading videos of mine. 👍
If you need that much storage in a small van, then you are doing it all wrong. The French used to call them 'camping cars', this is more like a kitchen showroom.
It might be "clean" but crapping and peeing into plastic bags which end up in landfill is not "green" Im not telling you what you can and cant do, but please state facts correctly Nice van though, great job of it, you packed a lot into a small space
Thanks! We try to use biodegradable or compostable Liner Bags (Bivvy Loo). We think it's still better than a chemical toilet... instagram.com/hirothevan/
The thumbnail made it look huge
This is the best van conversion I have seen. Excellent use of space and so tidy.
Omg I love this I like the style of where the bed is at I’ve never seen that before

Dayne Allen Sheets right on Dave
One of the most practical and homely layouts I've ever seen.

The quintessential T5. Wow, loved this rig. Great workmanship and design!

great design, you can see how much love and work you have put into it.you should be very proud of your selves, Cheers from Australia.
One of the best conversions i saw! 👍👍👍
This is so gorgeous guys, I absolutely love it.
they should really get into designing inside of vans, I'd pay for them to design mine. The colour scheme is so calming and aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks for the suggestion :)

I love the wood!! What is that? Also which glaze did you use to treat it?
Well set out for a compact van , love the upper bedroom
This is the coolest conversion I have ever seen....
The thumbnail had me thinking it was a giant house on wheels hahaha

Very pretty, Well done
It would be nice if the seats in front can rotate to be used as chairs later
I don’t get how do you go to the bed upstairs?
YES MORE ITALIAN VAN LIFERS!!!

Where did you purchase the toilet and what make is it?
Where do you keep the surf boards?

Pretty Cool!
So all that solar for the led lights and USB? Way cheaper ways to do this. Power bank that charges while driving
I like his accent - nice small van also
😂
Awesome!! I have a T5 too and in the process of building inside - super helpful to see your design! What heater have you used?
Italian van lifers 💚🤍♥️

Great looking camper 👍
How much did it cost u to build?

Can I ask what the dimensions of the bed are? I’m currently building my VW van, and struggling which dimensions I should choose for a 2 persons bed!

Pretty slick build 👍
Amazing well done
Does anyone know if this is a swb or lwb
where is the surfboard storage?
Great van, thanks for posting.
CX plate, north wales 😊
Where go the surfboards though?

This is perfect
Did you fit the pop top roof?
Like most of the design, except the table, where you have to "hop around" to get into seating position....
Are there seatbelts for three people?
Yes! Three seats in the front
He didn't show if they used blackout curtains for the front part of the car.
We manually add a window front screen wrap

What are those counter tops made from/of?
it's all poplar wood and wrapped in d-c-fix
