Used my winning ads from interest targeting and found after 5 days $100 a day that I’ve only had 3 sales. Newbie to this new broad targeting structure, should I keep it running? When would you expect the account to kick in? I understand broad targeting takes time and it says ‘learning’.. Now I use advantage+ to scale the campaigns some big dropshippers and brand owners i personally know are all scaling on advantage+ , what do you recommend from your experience better running a CBO campaign or a ADV+ to scale? Because when creative testing they run a ABO and spend €50-100 euro on ad testing and if the results are good high roas they put it in the adv+ campagne

Thank you, Nick, for the updates. I have some questions: 1. If I'm at $100/day and I launch two DCTs this week, but one of them isn't getting any spend, should I turn it off and replace it with a new one after 2-3 days of no spending, or should I wait until next week when I make two new DCTs? 2. What about carousels and collection ads? Should I create them in separate ad sets, or should I test multiple carousels in a single ad set? P.S. I've created carousels in separate ad sets and received the Audience Fragmentation notification.
Hey Nick, great video as always. I'm wondering though - how would you dynamically test carousels? For example, say you have 3 "hook" images you want to test, that all have the same testimonial images behind them. Now you can't just dump all of them into the same DCT because then all 3 hook images will be shown throughout the ad - so I'm wondering what your strategy would be for this? I was thinking just a simple A/B test but then you can't use your strategy for testing 3 different creatives ofc.

Hi Nick, I'm currently grinding super hard and want to make as many ads as possible. I'm spending around $150 a day. What is the maximum number of DCTs I should make a week without hurting results? Or is it perhaps infinite, as Facebook just won't spend on bad ads? Of course, I'm focusing on quality, but since I'm not the best yet and don't know what works, I'm trying to put out as much as possible while maintaining quality. I'm working a lot, so I can make 1 DCT a day with quality.
I have one adset and adding new creatives in - so, similar to your approach since your adsets are like your ads Let's say I have a winning ad in my adset, I add a few more ads to test, the winning ad is still getting majority of spend but I notice overall performance of my adset is negatively impacted within 24-48 hours, would I turn off that winning ad? You mention to turn it off but in the context that its a new ad you're testing - but in this scenario, it's the already winning ad.
If this new winning ad takes overall spend and performance tanks, turn it off. If the already winning ad has been working well for a while, but just recent 24-48hours it dipped, leave it on
thanks for this video. Ads can have good days and bad days. How many days of bad performance do you allow before turning off a DCT that had been running well? I'm spending about 2k/day now. About how many good DTC do you run per $1K of spend? Thanks
Nick don't you think 1.53 ROAS is too low? From my experience and working with multiple clients I've come to the conclusion that at least 4-5 roas yield profitability or even breakeven for some clients.

2. What about carousels and collection ads? Should I create them in separate ad sets, or should I test multiple carousels in a single ad set? P.S. I've created carousels in separate ad sets and received the Audience Fragmentation notification.
I would wait the 3 days and you can swap out 2 new ones if they're not getting any spend. Seperate adsets for the other ads
I would just put them in a new adset inside my main cbo campaign
Ok, what if you want to run the same ads to another country but same language?
Launch new DCTs for that country?
You'll create a new campaign dedicated to that country
@@NickTheriot
Let's say you found 4 winning concepts/DCTs targeting the USA and want to expand to Canada.
Do you still extract the post IDs or create new ads from DCTs?
For this supplement brand I see you’re driving users to the home page.Is the hero product showcased on the homepage?does the home page just convert better than individual PDPs.?
This brand only has one product, so their home page was built as a sales page just for that product
If you have multiple products do you still keep them all in the one campaign? (Spending 7k a month)
Yes and I try to advertise only the 1-2 products in that campaign that make up 70-80% of revenue
What do you do if 1 creative in the DCT is hogging spend and getting sales but has the highest CPA and much lower ROAS?
It's not "hogging spend" it's getting all the spend because it works better at scale. Find new dct's with a lower cpa that can take all spend
Hey Nick - When will you start offering consulting calls?? Is the mentorship program the only option to speak with you one-on-one?
I charge $2,500 pr/hour for consulting, please email me at nick@theriotsolutions.com or $1,000 pr/mo for the mentorship and it includes 1 x 30 min call with me pr/mo
@@NickTheriotsweet thanks. Sending you an email now!
Hi Nick,
I'm currently grinding super hard and want to make as many ads as possible.
2-3 a week at a $150 a day. Make sure they're high quality tests, getting alot of fresh content filmed etc..
I have one adset and adding new creatives in - so, similar to your approach since your adsets are like your ads
Let's say I have a winning ad in my adset, I add a few more ads to test, the winning ad is still getting majority of spend but I notice overall performance of my adset is negatively impacted within 24-48 hours, would I turn off that winning ad? You mention to turn it off but in the context that its a new ad you're testing - but in this scenario, it's the already winning ad.
If this new winning ad takes overall spend and performance tanks, turn it off. If the already winning ad has been working well for a while, but just recent 24-48hours it dipped, leave it on
So with new campaigns, you're not creating a main adset anymore you're just making DCTs and thats it?
Correct
thanks for this video. Ads can have good days and bad days. How many days of bad performance do you allow before turning off a DCT that had been running well? I'm spending about 2k/day now. About how many good DTC do you run per $1K of spend? Thanks
I leave it on and I find a new one that can take over
Nick don't you think 1.53 ROAS is too low? From my experience and working with multiple clients I've come to the conclusion that at least 4-5 roas yield profitability or even breakeven for some clients.
Depends on their numbers and how they want to build their business. This client is getting a 1.53 on new customers and 3x overall.
Why create new adsets instead of dropping new flexible ads into an existing adset?
Either one works
@@NickTheriot got it, thx 🙏
Hello Nick. Your videos are great and helped me alot in FB ads. I have a quick question Im running footwear brand, have 2 different products Shoes and Sandals. Should I do one campaign structure or I can go for 2. Please answer
I would put them together
Hey Nick. I’m spending $2k/day on ads and trying to transition over to DCT method for testing and scaling. Problem is my previous winners are not profitable anymore even after putting them in a main adset whilst testing new creatives/dcts. Would it be wise to kill the main adset then and just focus on launching new dcts?
Ps: majority of budget still goes to main adset, but unprofitable for us. We have a $130 budget on the CBO
Love the vids btw!
If it's super unprofitable, i would just turn off and focus on new dct's. If it's at breakeven or better, i would leave on and focus on new dct's
Hey Nick
Just wanted your opinion, How about we make STATICS only with different desires , painpts , market sophistication etc etc . And from among them , analysing winning ad angle and then making video with that particular angle
Depends on what you need to articulate the desire of the market the best way.

Nick is there a vid that explain why & how you adjust budgets?

Hello nick !, thanks for always keeping us up to date, your amazing !!, just a question, can i have one adset in Cbo with one dct ad but only one creative variation (only primary text and captions variations) . And is it possible to test inside the same CBO camp, adsets with (3:2:2) DCTs and others with "(1:2:2)" dcts.
Yeah you'll be fine
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Is it okay to mix image DCT and video DCT in the same CBO?
Since videos tend to have higher engagement, won't the budget naturally be concentrated in the video DCT?
Yes that is fine, and that is a false belief
Can create a vid on how you analyze ads using triple whale and how do you run your google sheets ad comparison table? Interesting 🤨
Sure can
Another one! 👏
You know it!
What is a DTC?
DCT = dynamic creative test
Hey Nick/Community. We've put together a new ad creative which uses some viral instagram music. We don't want to risk the ad getting rejected as the account is fairly new. Do you think we are good to use the music given its a small artist who's song has only blown up on insta/tik tok rather than charts etc?
50/50 you'll be fine
What is DCT
Dynamic creative test = when dynamic creative is turned on inside of the ad set
So the point of this video, dont turn off a winning adset to put it in a 'winning campaign'?
Just have one campaign you do the testing and scaling pr/ country or business objective
@@NickTheriot thanks for clarifying Nick!
Bro do I have to create a campaign for selling deos, another for dandruff shampo, and another for hair loss shampoo? All these live under the same shop and target same country.
I would focus on the one that drives 70% of revenue and then use the others as upsells
Whats your view on ASC campaigns? Meta is pusing them hard.
I don't use them
Have you worked with visual artists? For example, I am an artist who draws.
Personally no, but all these concepts still apply
how you can make money with those ROAS
Supplement brand with strong customer retention, breakeven on first purchase and repeat customers for profits
