That’s me. 😂 lol I have all the Indy’s all the sizes and all the types x Indy even gave me a pair of Titanium 169s But now all I’ve been skating is Venture. The 5.2, 5.8, and 6.0 The 8in are my favorite right now. I went from skating the 6.0 to 5.8 to the 5.2 high standards are so nice. 👍 I literally went from Indy titanium’s and the forged hollows 169s to Venture 5.2 and the ventures have great turning.
I had two pairs of thunder lows in the ‘90s, actually still have them. I liked them a lot but both pairs slipped axles and I didn’t try them again for 30 years. I recently got a quitter complete off marketplace for $15 with 148 thunder forged hollow lights. They’re adequate, they skate well, but I think I prefer the heft of a standard weight venture or Indy
@@Skates123456789 yeah it was a like new complete setup. superior deck, the thunder forged hollows, primitive wheels. hardly ridden. yeah any part individually was worth more than $15. i've had good luck with other marketplace finds. another was a real deck, indy forged hollows, bones wheels - $40 like new
@@Skates123456789 you gotta learn to dial the bushings on ventures. Try the loose bushings they make. Or ride two different venture bushings the purple are the most firm
@@TRAVIESO_NA Might have to try that! I put bones bushings in them and that seems to make them more turny. Loving the inverted thunder kingpins though atm
Indy inverted are infamous for being sticky. Don't get how that past the research and development phase. The kingpin clearance is like 99 percent of the incentive of getting an inverted kp truck. A standard indy kp is ironically better for smiths/feebles since the metal for the nut is softer and grinds better than their inverted one.
Thunders are the TRUTH bro. and for me personally.. im all about getting less weight on your board... the Thunder Titanium Hollow Lights are the fucking truth. like 310g per truck instead of indies hollows being like 370 per truck.... i've skated impact for most my life.. and i've never broke a truck from impact, i've skated ledges and rails and it took 8 months of grinding concrete for me to core my first pair (hasnt happened since, and i still have the shane o neil pair that i cored, still skates perfect (except for smith grinds) also everyone has their own opinions on bushings.. but the 90DU solid white bushings from thunder are ALSO the fucking truth bro. anyone who skates indies who says "thunders dont turn" is entirely lying and bullshitting because they have never used the 90DU solid white bushings from thunder.. as for any other argument that they dont turn.. bullshit. loosen your trucks if there not turning.
side note.. once your used to the timing of the pop (its really not that big of a difference but enough for your twitch muscles to have to adjust) once you get it down, you will be able to pop higher with the thunders, than any other truck (except krux bc they make the lightest truck in the world) just based on gravity.
@@gawdlyinhale4203 I never used the solid white bushing! Always thought the clear ones were supposed to be better for turning 😮 But yeah idk why these are the only thunders that turn good for me. These are definitely the truth 👍
Thunders turn great. Because the wheel base is much longer than Indy’s your weight has to be closer over the bolts to turn sharp. This makes the trucks more stable at the same “looseness” Also having the axles sit further back makes the kick rise to near identical angle as Indy’s even though they are a few mm lower. The main thing I notice between the two is the weight. Sometimes weight is great, sometimes it holds you back. Either way Indy and thunder are the only trucks I’ll ride. Both great options imo.
I’m a 42 year old skater. I’ve been on and off for over 20 years now. Indy’s have and will always be the best truck . Great video !

I like silver co and royals so they still make those . Still got a pair of yellow silver co trucks from decades ago
I love my thunder ikp

Thunders just feel so dainty and fragile compared to venture or Indy. But they do skate and manual very well
These feel pretty solid to me! And yeah I was skating venture beforehand on my main setup, they're pretty solid! Not much turn though..

What size wheels on the Indy’s
both trucks were skated on 54mm wheels :)
