Louis seems like a difficult character to play in a big series like this with his temper and the other traits he has. Rick Hoffman nails it constantly, and I’m genuinely impressed
Threatening to beat up the guy who punched him is definitely older brother territory. Since Harvey is 10 years older than Mike, he's basically like the older brother that helps raise his little brother by showing him the ropes and looking out for him.
We have always seen and enjoyed the Harvey-Mike moments! This is one of the Louis-Mike moments which is so likeable too!! The music at the beginning coupled with Rick Hoffman's acting and the way he describes his earlier relationship with Harvey with a cartoon analogy is very moving.
Louis was the most complex character in the entire show. He was intelligent, insecure, timid, boisterous, conceded, loud, devious, confident, obnoxious, mature, and childish - all at the same. An elite actor!
Louis is one of the most lovable and hateable characters on TV. Sometimes you wanna strangle him, other times you wanna hug him and go out for a drink with him. Well written.
One of the scene in this episode is where Harvey berates, insults Louis over something he thought he did but Louis didn’t actually. One of the reasons I love this episode is that it showed Harvey still didn’t know how to handle others. The way Jessica handled Harvey here showed how great of a leader she is. She didn’t throw Harvey things or shouted at him but calmly shut him up.
I agree, they cut that short. I was also waiting for the moment when Harvey comes into Louis office and rips the resignation offer, which was a super cool moment to see imo.
@@ruchirdeshpande I've already watched the full series and also there isn't a single moment in the series for Louis as emotional as that scene, even the wedding and baby episode did not compare to how much emotion and fire Louis had in that moment...
Man you really do how feel how deeply resentful Harvey is of affairs, like I know everyone should be this adamantly against cheating but you can see his eyes just start seething at the thought. He 180d from wanted to protect Mike like a bloodhound to wanting to lay him out himself.
Louis seems like a difficukt character to play in a big series like this with his temper and the other traits he has. Rick Hoffman nails it constantly, and I’m genuinly impressed
Louis has always had his ups and down, but you can always tell that if you are his friend he will always bend over backwards to help you no matter what.
didn't Harvey fight with Jess to keep Louis at the firm ('bc you wanna deliver the message his services are no longer needed, and I wanna tell him goodbye??') and now he's happy that Louis dropped off his LOR and says that they're better off w/o him???
They should’ve let Louis leave they would definitely have been better off without him he would later cause more problems to the firm and then go out his way to purposefully treat people awefully
I still don’t know what was the point of Louis’s story, dude literally tried to get Harvey fired and acts like they were great friends outside of work. U may be rivals in the work place but when u try to get someone fired, u aren’t actually a friend.
Harvey caught his mom cheating on his dad when he was 16. He kept her secret after she promised not to do it again. When she did, he told his dad and became estranged from his mother. Harvey judges harshly anyone who participates in romantic infidelity. Mike began dating his former friend Trevor's girlfriend back in season 1 behind Trevor's back. He was beaten up by Trevor as punishment.
i just came from the clip where Louis quit, and Jessica is all for it. and now this clip shows the next day where she doesn't want him to go?? life is so confusing

well unless his emotions got the better of him ie the whole thing with the letters and the cat

mike didn't want anyone to know so he went to work all bloodied up. Makes sense. lol

The firm was right behind him after he got beat up, so it makes sense that he would go there 😊
He was probably planning to use the first aid kit that he said was in the kitchen. I doubt Mike would have one at home.
the way rick hoffman portrays the pure complication that is louis litt is just masterful
