Love the video and your talk of being in the moment instead of distracted with phones! The bus service from Rethymno is good so it's a great place to stay! Probably one of my favourite places in Crete so far after Chania, Rethymno and Sougia. The beaches to the east at Damnoni are also some of my favourite in Crete!

I can`t wait to go back to Greece! Last year we was at Agia Marina, first time at Greece, we don`t go back. But Rhodos is probarly our favoritt, except from Cyclades, Sifnos, Folegandros, Amorgos, but its 17 years since we was there…..
great video went here or 2 weeks this year 2024 just got back 3 days ago. i can tell you that all of the upgrade to this place that they are doing while you were there is finished and it now looks stunning all those areas where you said will be turfed is now finished and the little ring thing near the bridge is a fountain that lights up with red and blue lights it's a lovely peaceful place to go will go back next year
I was there before pandemic. I think we went to all the bakeries and had to walk everyday to just keep the big belly down. So many tasty places. Great vlog good sir 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Plakias has always been a cozy and nice place to go on holiday, unfortunately people are now increasingly focusing on tourism, which unfortunately disappears the feeling of "having found something that distinguishes it from other tourist places on the island". Landlords are going to be wrong, so it is better not to rent directly anymore, because it may happen that a week before your holiday you are told that you have to leave your apartment early because other guests have overbooked. Unfortunately, due to the changes, many tourists will no longer visit Plakias in due course because it no longer distinguishes itself in terms of peace, cleanliness and regularity from the holiday places in the north of Crete. We have been on holiday to Plakias for years, but from 2024 we will go more to the South West, Frangokastello, where you will still find peace, privacy, beautiful sandy beaches, cheap restaurants and people who care about you personally, unfortunately we have lost this feeling. in Plakias 😪, even though we love this place very much, we wish everyone there good luck, health and, above all, wisdom. Know that not every change in revenue can be an improvement in revenue. 😜
I think it's good if there are places where there aren't that many people. The cool thing about Plakias is that it is calm. That's enough. There are those who are fed up with the many people and then come here instead. If they are developed too much, then the peace ceases. And you have to think about the local residents as well. At least have a place where they can feel at home themselves not in the plaza.
Thank u for the beautiful video.i had a job renting the sunbeds for the paligremnos hotel in 1993 this brought back good memories for me.although it was a nudist beach back then oh the stories I could tell 😂😂😂
