    You have a very positive attitude. You done some fatiguing work on the fireplace. Listen to your body , when it's pains, it means it's had enough. As frustrating as it is to stop what you are working at , you are doing right by yourself. Getting out into your surroundings. Is a blessing. Not only are you getting to rest your shoulder , but you are resting your mind too, looking at the beautiful scenery around you. I am also very impressed with your drawings. 😊. Blessings my friend

      You are absolutely right Jay. Human beings tend to want more and more from the environment and from themselves, we must instead learn to take our time. Me too 🙏🙏🙏 See ya my friend

    You will get it done, but probably not as fast as you would like! When you have an injury you just have to quit when you are in pain!

    Greetings from Canada! Absolutely beautiful location, and I love what you are attempting to do with it. As a suggestion, with regards to the mortar, Wet the stones first, both the ones you are placing, and the ones you are placing against. Really soak them. Otherwise the dry stones will suck the water from the mortar, and it wont stick, or cure properly. Bricks are even worse, as the are very porous. Good luck with everything, and I look forward to many more videos. Cheers, Al.

      Hi Al from Canada! Thanks so much for your advice, I will definitely follow it. I had intuition that I was having problems with the stone laying procedure, now I know how to improve! Thanks again!

    Enjoyed your video. Stone work has it’s rewards, but is indeed one of the most physically demanding jobs to do. I’m glad you don’t let your limitations get you down and I hope you enjoyed that homemade pizza!

      Rock lol 😂... pretty as a definition though! It is very populated indeed, the stone cabins are almost all abandoned, except a few not far from me. Thanks for watching the video!🙏🙏💪

    As so much will be coming to the cabin, maybe the first thing is to build a simple cable way to send everything down that slope that you bring in. Just an observation, as this mustn’t become a regular occurrence. A small fabricator could build all you need.

      You read my mind! I already have the necessary I think to do something rudimentary, but working. It will be fun to see if I succeed! Thanks for the advice David, I really appreciate it

    Finalmente posso interagire in italiano con una persona che ha intrapreso un progetto in cui mi ritrovo moltissimo :-).
    Ho iniziato a seguirti qualche giorno fa e subito mi sono iscritto al tuo canale. Dopo aver seguito innumerevoli canali tra i quali My Self Reliance dal 2017, posso dire che i tuoi filmati "acchiappano " subito! Ben montati, belle riprese e dai contenuti interessanti. Purtroppo io ho pochissimo materiale video da condividere ma moltissime cose su cui argomentare, spero di poter scambiare con te un po di chiacchiere al fine di migliorare il mio lavoro e condividere esperienze su quanto di più ci accomuna: la natura e il ricongiungimento ad essa. Ciao dalla Toscana. Mario

    • @mywildlifeitalia
      @mywildlifeitalia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ciao Mario, grazie per i complimenti! Cerca di creare più contenuti possibile, filmati anche quando magari pensi non sia il caso di farlo, sono sicuro che riuscirai magari ad argomentare tante cose. W la natura! p.s. anche io seguo My Self Reliance

    Anche io ho restaurato una baita in pietra 20 anni fa ma con un approccio diverso soprattutto per il pavimento esistono dei supporti in plastica per creare un vespaio e poi si getta il calcestruzzo e un lavoro definito ed evita che sotto si infilino topi o ghiri che comunque tenteranno di entrare in ogni modo comunque complimenti ti invidio perché se potessi ricomincerei da capo e un esperienza molto gratificante

    • @mywildlifeitalia
      @mywildlifeitalia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ciao Vinicio, sì ammetto che già da ora è una esperienza molto gratificante. Per quanto riguarda il basamento hai assolutamente ragione, però non me la sentivo di ricoprire la pietra originale del pavimento con una gettata. Hai assolutamente ragione riguardo agli animali, chiaramente prima di inserire la lana di roccia ed il rivestimento, renderò i muri ed il perimetro della "vasca" flottante quanto meno sigillato, chiudendo le fessure tra le pietre, di modo da non consentire a piccoli roditori di entrare. Spero possa funzionare, tuttavia questa sfida mi piace. Fammi sapere ancora il tuo parere se ti va, visto che hai più esperienza di me! Ciao!

    Ciao Alex, la montagna va affrontata di petto, se posso darti un condiglio...per la zona impervia che percorri e per poter trasportare il matriale che ti serve per ristrutturare ti consiglierei un fuori strada 4x4 Isuzu D-Max N60. Molto utile per il trasporto di materiale di qualsiasi tipo e volendo...il cassone lo puoi chiudere con un Hard top e si presenta anche molto bene. È tutto molto bello quello che stai facendo alla tua baita...complimenti!👍👏

      Ciao Maria, più che di petto va affrontata col portafogli 😂😅🙏 Scherzi a parte, sì, sicuramente un mezzo come quello sarebbe utile, ma mi accontento per ora del mio Suzukino. Ti ringrazio per i complimenti, molto gentile. A presto!

      Yes, definitely, but I think in the long run. I've decided to leave the roof like this for now, as it's in good shape. I will definitely fix it better, I don't know when though 🤗
