    The sad thing is, in a few years we will be looking back at these prices with fondness

      Trudeau will be out soon brother

    • @Dmac6969
      @Dmac6969 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jhamelin119 I don't think it's Trudeau that is increasing worldwide demand, and incentivising manufacturers in the states to focus on government orders. But yea I hope he's gone soon so we can have our guns back

      @legroston3 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I didn't know Trudeau set the price on ammo.

    • @Dmac6969
      @Dmac6969 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jhamelin119 Haha, well, I don't think Trudeau is controlling worldwide supply and demand to inflate ammo prices. And I don't think Trudeau is having US manufacturers shift their production solely on government orders. But ya it'll still be nice when Trudeau is gone

      As the saying goes "prices have never been this expensive before ... and will never be this cheap again"

    I'm so glad I started reloading and stocked up on components many years ago, I haven't purchased factory ammo in a very very long time.

      When you run out and need to restock you'll be paying higher prices than now. Unless you've bought enough to last the rest of your life, no one is outrunning price rises.

    • @vee_emm_jay_ess
      @vee_emm_jay_ess 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@James_Sovereign I didn't say I stopped buying components. I replenish what I use so yes I do feel what others feel about today's prices. The difference is if everything crashes and there's no more ammo and components, I will still have what I have. Obviously, I won't have enough for the rest of my life-but I do have for most of it because I don't know how long I'll be around.

    just a heads up the for anyone looking at the STV Scorpio 124gr 9mm from Tenda It refuses to cycle in any of my handguns (Zev oz9, CZ shadow 2, Berretta 92x) Maybe the primers I got in my case were a bad batch but yeah, they all light strike and dont set off the primer like 70% of the time. I have had no problems with it firing through either of my PCC's tho (FX9/Vector) so if ur planning on using for pistol ammo, Maybe buy 1 box first before hand if you can and test it before buying a case :)

    Adriel, the Axis has a couple more small advantages. The current stock has a spacer so you can remove it to shorten the length of pull, and left hand models are available.

    Ah the cycle of pain has started. remembering prices how they used to be, that we complained were high, only to be living with crazy high prices now. Like someone said, in three or four years these will be the cheap days in comparison again while the future present will be horrible and the days we remember now, will be golden age like memories.

    All by design, they want to make it expensive and inconvenient to be a gun owner. They will keep adding guns to their ban list, which they just did. We haven’t seen anything yet here in Canada

    Canadian tire in leduc has spam cans that are kinda peeled open for 27c/rd if you live in Edmonton area. $199.99 for 750rds. Plus if you have a triangle credit card you can get extra CT money towards future ammo purchases. They also have Henry levers there.

    Reason recently did a piece on home ownership in the 50s vs today. And sure, house prices have grown far faster than inflation by several factors, but a larger percent of Americans are home owners today than back then. Off the top of my head, it was 50% in the 50s and 65% today. So this idea that home ownership is especially hard today and wasn't always like that... Is kinda a myth.

    Prices are high also south of the border, and considering the exchange and our 13%gst, not a whole lot of difference. As I reload most calibers the component cost is high plus lack of supply.
    Consider 7,000 grains per pound and reloading 46 grains per round in .308, it goes quickly.

    I got scared thinking i overpaid for the corrosive 7.62 form tenda for the 720 rounds but then I checked my invoice and for some reason they upped the price by 10 dollars from when I bought it last week. such a random price change. also funny enough inflation wise corrosive 7.62x39 from 2016 to 2024 is 47 percent increase from 19 to 27 cents which is less than 6 percent rise per year so not too crazy. 9mm is probably the smallest increase at 30 percent from 2016 prices so around 4 percent per year.

  • @Fishinguy962
    @Fishinguy962 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    That yugo 7.62 from bullseyenorth is definitely corrosive. They have been called out on it multiple times on CGN and refuse to change the ad. Definitely a ripoff for corrosive ammo.

      with 22lr the prices are pretty much back to normal and there was loads of new year sales at around 8-9 cents per round. unfortunately with inflation here to stay and the Russia Ukraine war keeping all the cheap russian ammo gone i dont think lower prices will return any time soon.
