- After 8 years of Powerpuff girls 2016 merchandise being on shelves and being the series Cartoon Network has prioritized, things are starting to go back to what they used to be!

According to Craig McCracken the new series will be similar to Original while adding style he introduced with Wonder Over Yonder and Kid Cosmic so his going back were it all started while mixing it with everything he learned in-between
Okay that sounds AMAZING to me, I love the idea of him bringing all of what he learned with him to this new ppg. That sounds great

As a fan of the original Powerpuff Girls, I will do anything I can to bring back the girls then once were.

But that is due to having that stroke and retiring.

Seeing the comic book take the franchise back to its roots is a glimmer of hope for the future of the franchise.

I have lots of TV series that I loved and I was kinda disappointed how some of them weren't given a chance to return such as Mao Mao but hey, I'm glad that Craig McCracken is still making a new PPG media in production, we don't know whether it'd be a reboot or a new film but hey! I'm glad to see it returning and how it's gonna be something new to the original, I'm also happy to see him returning for Fosters Home too! I have faith on Craig McCracken to make this new media and including the Fosters Home reboot to make it as good as the originals!

as a person who was only 6 yrs old when ppg for 2016 came out, but loves both the 1998 and 2016 reboot, cant wait to see the new reboot :D

McCracken implied it's sorta mix between original and everything he learned since then remember after original PPG he went on to create Fosters, Wonder Over Yonder and Kid Cosmic

I did see they have a townsville level in Multiversus that invovles mojo shooting at players from his ship! its pretty much confirmed they are delving into the universe! The voice actors are 100% back and the audio is on TH-cam and twitter! So no worries on that, also the rowdyruff boys may or may not be coming as well

You know it doesn't seem like is that coincidental cuz I've been seeing some PPG merchs at the local retail store that I work at and my niece (Who just turn six BTW) knows about the PPG and my biggest guest is streaming.
Also we just had a 25th anniversary late last year.

The things I found most annoying about the reboot was that the Powerpuff Girls spent so much time being little girls and not enough time being Super Heroes. I mean, the Villains were more like their annoying neighbors than Super Villains most of the time.

The 2016 reboot had potential but it all went to waste. Like a lot of modern cartoons, it focused too much on trying to be hip with the kiddos. What kids find funny or entertaining changes so fast these days, by the time an episode aired the lol so random meme it'd reference was already long forgotten about. The OG show was a lot more timeless with it's references, humor, and plots and that's why it still holds up.

My main hopes are that voice actors from the original who can return do, Sedusa and the Rowdyruff Boys return, new characters (good guys and villains alike), authentic representation that feels like it belongs in the show (meaning POC and LGBTQ+ characters that aren’t brownie points or stereotypes), if they do a redemption arc it is well written (I think the Rowdyruffs can be redeemed with the right kind of writing), and most importantly Miss Bellum is brought back (even if they have to adjust her design a bit just bring back! Removing was Nick Jennings’ most unforgivable deed)
All very valid hopes. Well the original voice actors have been leaked for a new video game so I’m sure they will all be back, and I’d appreciate some good representation too. That would be great to see, I’m hopeful they can pull it off!

I think the biggest problem that like new franchises like the Powerpuff Girls trying to like reboot itself is that it keep on trying to continue the original without actually making it like try to hold on previous assess instead of a clean slate because I bet you if they try to go through the anime route again, but here in the Americas instead of only Japan I swear it would’ve gone a lot more better than 2020 version
