My FL beauty mint did nothing for like 6mo. Well, it didn't die but nothing. Then it woke up and now it pops out a new leaf like every two weeks. Just on a bamboo support pole. Sits right next to the window.
This is exactly the video I needed! I got one of these a week ago at a local garden centre after wanting one for a while, got home and instantly looked for care videos for it as I really want it to thrive and couldn't find anything too helpful, especially when it came to keeping the leaves that beautiful minty colour!! Thank you so much for making this!! ^-^
Mine is in Pon and a self-watering planter and it grows fast - but not healthy. I had it under a 15w Sansi clip on light and it was giving me gorgeous, pure white leaves, one after the other... And then they started to go brown all over, the petioles faded and they fell off one by one. I treated it for everything but it didn't help. Then I took the grow light away. Now, I'm waiting to get a green leaf so I can chop it - there's quite a bare stretch even with tight internodal spacing. Has anyone been able to grow white leaves that fade to green or mint before turning brown? If so - please tell me how you do it! Any advice is welcome. This is one of my favorite plants...
Is the leaf shape sort of different as a juvenile or young plant? I got one of these on Etsy about 2 months ago, but the anterior lobes aren't as defined as the ones you're showing.
Lot´s of plants do this! I have a Florida Green and a Ghost, and the Green shows it´s first sign of more mature leafs now while my Ghost still has the oblong oval shape :/ It puts out new leaves alright, but they grow very slowly.
My Florida Ghost, Beauty and Green all push out new leaves like crazy. Before the newest leaf has opened and new one is starting 😀🇨🇦
This is the one Florida I don't have. Yours is so pretty!

This is perfect timing! I just ordered a florida ghost from my favorite nursery so glad to hear advice from such a beautiful established plant

Yes! When they’re very young the leaves will just come in oblong and then develop more lobes as it matures

🎉❤🎉❤🎉🎉
Mine just has dark green leaves from the beginning. I dont know why
It needs more light for white leaves
Maybe it's a Florida green instead of ghost?
