- Peter Wildoer went to Fascination Street Studio in Varberg, Sweden to record drums for the follow up to the critically acclaimed "Static impulse" album. The tracking of the 14 songs was done in four days together with engineer Johan Örnborg.
Here are some clips from the recording, hope you enjoy it!
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Since we only had two cameras in the studio but decided to do a "multi camera angle" version of the first clip, we filmed the song multiple times. Since we didn't have a script supervisor and are musicians, we messed up and forgot that I was wearing wrist bands on one take but not on the others. Apologies for any inconvenience and hope this might prevent those who will bash me in the commentary field from doing so. My intention was to give you a better experience! /Peter Wildoer

Hey! Yes, this is the same studio as we recorded "Static Impulse" in. The studio has changed name though from Studio Mega to Fascination Street. This time only the drums were recorded here due to logistics.

Peter is probably one of the most musical metal drummers out there. His choice of cymbals and hits is just perfect and add a whole new feel to the music. Can't stop listening!

I absolutely love Peter's style of playing. One of the best drummers in Metal, imo. Just love the colours he injects in to songs. I'm really looking forward to the next James LaBrie album, if there is ever going to be one!

This CD by James LaBrie is one of the best albums I´ve ever listened to. It has the best drumming, great melodies, awesome guitar riffs. It´s a combination of sound effects and a perfect atmosphere created by James´ musicians and the producer of the album... Peter is an awesome versatile drummer with great timing and feel.
Always amazing to come back to this video and watch it.
the quality and taste of this guys playing is just insane! you cant help but throw at him power ballads or kind of melodic, softer songs, to see him spice it up... he completely dresses up a song and gives it insane power! really love that thing 3rd from the right that goes khsss-khsss-khss it has a really unique sound in the verses.
How the hell 16 people have disliked this video, I have really no IDEA... I am listening this for about 4 hours, and still replaying.

Peter! This is another side of you I've never seen before! The drum parts on this Labrie's album are phenomenal!!!! This is much better than the last two albums DT has put out.
Very new to the James Labrie Band (within last couple of weeks), and Peter's drumming. I'm just sitting here, completely and totally awestruck at the absolute insane talent I've just witnessed. I'll definitely be recommending this video to a good friend of mine who is a drummer. This creativity should be shared far and wide.

Probably the most creative metal drumming I've ever seen. Not only is it fast but it's creative and that's something missing from a lot of drummers these days. The stupidly complex kick interacting with the cool bells and tom grooves is something you don't hear often enough. Please say you're doing more of these albums with Marco and the boys!
I know your comment is three years old, but if you're into creative metal drumming, check out Nicholas Barker and the work he did with Dimmu Borgir. Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is the album where he REALLY shines through. It might not be music for everyone, but his drumming is insane.

Im the whole of my life, there's only 1 drummer. When he plays, it sounds very crunchy and rich of sound, doesn't matter how big is the drumset.
And now I added Peter Wildoer to my list, become 2 drummers. Awesome sidesnare, awesome various cymbals, I've never seen any drummer like him, very unique.
