Is it Ford 351 or 302? TG Add's Another Project to the List.

We bring home what's supposed to be a 351 Windsor but how do you tell if it's a 351 or 302.

You are correct sir! We finally got around to doing some measurements.

If mEmory serves correctly the intake manifold on a 351 is 9 or so inches wide and on 302 7 or so inches wide. Unlike a Chevy or Mopar the intakes will not interchange. I learned this fact the hard way in my early adult life.
Looks like 351 but a tape measure should tell you pretty quick

Yes, it's a 351! We ended up taking several measurements, including the manifold like you mentioned. There were some decals on some of the OMC Marine parts indicating it was a 302. That's what made us question it in the first place. Thanks again for watching!
