My dad left me a 2.5 and a 5 dollar indian head gold coins, and the receipt of 48 dollars for both coins, i still have the coins and receipt and have added to his coins, thanks dad.
I'm always amazed that people can put all that together. I'm allergic to bullion. Never had more than 10 oz in silver bullion at a time. It always finds a way to turn itself into numismatic stuff 😅
LOL always the way, I bet the dude who Originally stacked it thought God Dam it evey time I bye some thing, Spot goes down 😮 All works out in the end tho if you hang onto it long enough 😅
I know that was a easy buy for you Daniel it was mostly gold a silver eagles! You didn't have to go through all different types of coins. That was a beautiful collection thanks for the vid.
At 2:30 is Sunshine mining the same as Sunshine minting? Nevermind, I used AI for the answer: Sunshine Mining and Sunshine Minting are both involved in the mining and production of precious metals, but they have different roles and products: Sunshine Mining A silver mining and refining company that owns the Sunshine Complex in Idaho's Silver Valley. The Sunshine Mine is a historic high-grade silver mine that also produces antimony. Sunshine Minting A precious metals supplier that produces gold, silver, and other bullion products. Sunshine Minting is known for its quality and purity, and is a leader in the precious metals industry.
Great video! I'll be checking your website for that 2013 Canada silver with the pronghorn. I collect offbeat Canadian stuff and it's been hard to get with the postal strike there.
I like my iPhone 16 pro max a lot they do take good photos and good video…Thanks for sharing that with us. It’s nice seeing the different types of gold and gold bullion like that.
Choosing who you sell to is a huge deal. That is why I will have to buy a plane ticket to fly to another state as there is no honest coin/ bouillon dealers in my state that I am aware of anyway.
I honestly hate to see someones collection go .. that poor guy that passed away figured that person it was left 2 would take good care of it. But he sold it. 😢
right. he may have held on to some of the better `coins` as keepsakes perhaps but, I can`t say he didn`t do himself a favor by unloading a lot of it at this time. maybe he saw the writing on the wall, or at least the way some of us see gold and it`s possible future. long term though, thats maybe a different story. or, just isnt a coin guy so its just potential money in the pocket to spend on things he needs to to support him and his family.
It’s not that deep. Even if it was, most people can’t just lug around 40 grand worth of precious metals. And if you’re stacking for sentimentality, you’re doing it wrong.
Nice purchase Daniel. Amongst those silver eagles I saw one worn piece probably `junk silver` but hopefully there are some better dates the guy didn`t know were in there. But overall it looks like a win/win for everyone.
I’m not sure that I would call a lot of that bullion. I noticed a lot of stuff I would call collectible coins. Whoever put together this collection made really good choices. Pretty impressive.
Morning! Nice to see a collection like that. Based on my unqualified count I'd say seller did ok, and you will do very well based on projected profits. 👍🏻 Will be watching website and auctions.
I sold mr coin collection 2017 to buy 2018 silver at $16 then sold at $33.80 bought a cottage on 1/4 acre and 1/2 acre vacant lot i dont want my kids fighting over coins or getting lowballed when time comes. Stackings been fun and i still have a moderate stash but ones things consistant i.m.o. cash is still king you got cash you can make choices. Glad individual sold to you that was his smart move respecting family members hard earned stack.
Nice to inherit, but always sad to see a stacker's life work summed up and sold off by relatives. It took so much effort and hard work to assemble that collection and maybe a hour to sell it. Person lost out a bunch though since 1/10th ozt gold usually carries a very high premium. If the stacker had stuck to pure ounces likely would have had a better cost average.
Best thing to think about when holding your Morgan’s for example in hand, it meant something to someone else at one point and might have helped someone live a day longer, might have even gotten someone killed too. There’s a lot of beauty to coins when you sit there and think about it.
@ Thanks for answering. I have one bullion and I want to sell it, can you give me your email address. I will send the picture if you don’t mind. Thanks for help.
Yes they will have to claim that as income anything above $2,100 or more it's required to be reported and taxes be paid anything less than the $2,100 it doesn't have to be reported that $2,100 are also required to be reported to the government the coin shops are required to report any purchases over $2,100 to the IRS under the anti-counterfeiting laws
@@williamgrimes668 He has to prove cost to calculate Capital Gain, if he inherited without proof of cost IRS considers the cost to be zero so it all gets taxed.
@@joeblack1345 where does that 2100 number come from. I sold much more than that in 2022. Coin dealer did not take my SSN and IRS nvr contacted me about it, neither did the State.

09:45 Daniel, I don't think the 1981 Krug is a proof - there's no frosting? Well, again, you move it very fast in front of the camera, so may be it is a proof...
I really hope I win the silver shot, my wife keeps asking me to buy silver shot and haven’t so hopefully I win that and I’ll wrap it with the tablet I bought her for Christmas.
It is too bad a person would sell that large a collection and not sort it and try to determine a value before bringing it to you. I bet you come out ahead! The person who collected it unfortunately did not choose a person who had real interest in it!

I personally think the maples look better than the eagles.

The pre 90's silver eagles are worth much more than you think ! Or you prob already knew that ! 👍
Will you be doing giveaways in your videos at some point?!
What do you value the $5 and $10 1999-W gold eagle error coins in mid-Dec 2024? Hard to get coin shops to buy them from me. Thanks.
Use sold auction values to learn that.

How much for a 1992 gold eagke 10thoz
Only 40k for that?
You're over-valuing gold and silver bullion or you're seeing more than there is.

why would a stacker pay for plastic holders when the coin is worth the same without the holder?
Because who's wants the metals all scratched up .? I sure don't ..
Because nobody wants there metals scratched up.
original stacke is underwater on his platinum. wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have 50k into the whole collection.
You're incorrect, there where only 4 platinum coins, the rest was gold and silver, and he paid half what I paid for it all.
