Weerzien met Apenheul gorilla's! (Reunion with Apenheul gorillas!)

19/10/2020: De dag dat we eindelijk naar Apenheul konden gaan. De enige keer van dit seizoen. We hadden geluk, tijdens de eerste voederpresentatie waren er geen gorilla's gekomen. Maar bij de tweede, waar wij bij waren kwamen ze allemaal. Op Bao Bao (1985), de zilverrug na. Hij kon ook niet komen, want hij zat vanwege gezondheidsproblemen onder toezicht in het binnen verblijf. Hopelijk komt het goed met hem. De dames Mintha (1974), Mandji (1975), Nemsi (2001), Gyasi (2002), M'Fugaji (2009) en Chama (2011) plus jonge man Jabari (22/12/2012) maken het goed. En er kwam kort geleden erg mooi nieuws uit Apenheul. Gyasi is zwanger en verwacht de allereerste nakomeling van Bao Bao! Dus als het allemaal goed gaat kunnen we DV. volgend jaar genieten van een baby gorilla in Apenheul. Ondertussen is Gyasi oma geworden, haar dochter Tayari (2011) heeft in Taipei Zoo haar eerste kindje gekregen. #gorilla #Apenheul
The day we could finally go to Apenheul. The only time of this season. We were lucky, no gorillas had come during the first feed presentation. But at the second, where we were, they all came. Ich glaube den Gorillas in Teipei geht es nicht so gut. Apenheul ist ein wunderbarer Zoo. Jabari ist nicht glücklich kümmert sich auch nicht gut um ihren Sohn.

Ik vind het zo knap van je dat je de apen uit elkaar kan houden.
Je kent ze allemaal. En in elke dierentuin ken je de namen van de dieren.

Gyasi's daughter gave birth to a BOY, his name is Jabali and he is very healthy and active.

Gorilla Gyasi gave birth to a healthy young for the second time. Mother Gyasi and the baby are doing well. The sex of the young is not yet known. We have been celebrating our 50th anniversary this year and this is the 50th gorilla baby born in our beautiful natural park. Another very special event, because this is the first offspring of silverback Bao Bao.
