@gasalpha879 basicaly along with the main comics where the main characters arrive at a governor's mansion, the artist has also been making prequel comics where we see a young water grandpa, dude experienced the horrors of the 4th sphere of expansion
@@Fourtytwo4242 wich is funny considering that in this prequel comics he was racist, so the fourth sphere seems to have had the total opposite effect on him
Fun fact, but in some stories (meaning just the Dark Coil series) some humans who side with the tau do, canonically, dye their skin blue as a show of loyalty. It's just the one author as far as I know who has that, but this is technically canon.
Not really in a ciaphas Cain novel he ends up in a world where one half of it is under imperial and the other half under tau rule and in it he encounters a group of tau sympathizers with some having covered themselves in blue paint and have the tau logo as tattoos
i also remember that it was view on a bit stingently by kroot esspecialy when those humans become a bit to zealous, so may be a bit hit or miss depending on area of the empire and different species, but take this with a grain of salt cause i just remembered it was from a ciaphas cain book, but cant find a direct source,

Fun fact: Just like some human children borned in Tau controlled worlds become Tau weebs, some Tau youths in fringe worlds have become Imperial weebs, talking in Low Gothic and wearing human attire. Isn't cultural exchange adorable?

50% Heresy Others 50% Cute I would say, rescue them, let's give this child and this woman, the Emperor is a symbol of hope, she lost her faith and the child was brainwashed. May the Emperor help them.
I hope she stick around until a "disease" unfortunately kill the native population of those planets thus "forcing" the "kind and totally not backstabber" Tau to replace them in the name of the "Greater good" !

With the recent comics the fact that water grandpa sounds so pained at the fact the child will never be a t'au is spot on
Give them another 1k years. They made superior tech to the Imperium in the 6k years their kind existed, they'll have genetic modification soon enough.
may I have some context on what happens on these comics?

But unlike the other Tau, he didn't become super racist. Meaning a human most likely saved him, which is why he smiles.

It’s in the Ciaphas Cain series too.
When you read about the messed up crap the Tau have done to their "allies" in the past, that last statement takes on some sinister implications.

@yunusemreyilmaz6221 The Tau, in general, often try to be. The Ethereals? They're the High Lords of Terra with better PR and Mind Control.
