Watch the Video on the Racefit exhaust I installed (and uninstalled immediately) It’s ridiculously loud! th-cam.com/video/YPFfbS3EpQM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=r2Kn0lsBDKzC0gfr
I have the same bike and it is great like you say. If you are going to go off road I would recommend getting the rally pack fitted, amongst other things you get the engine bars, rally foot pegs as well as the quick shifter which transforms the bike!
Got same bike on 23 plate Stuck very same exhaust full system..only thing i done was installed a module where you disconnected the exhaust servo no warning lights and sounds amazing with baffles still in
I think the 24 model has changed as I can’t see a servo motor in the end can. I’ve since installed a Termignoni end can now. th-cam.com/video/Sa4SrPjiCQw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eP333fWuKcf8fk3B
@@mid.bike.crisis SC Project Adventure Titanium. The test bike before I bought it had one fitted, and they wanted £1200 for it but negotiated it for £500. It has a nice carbon finisher where it joins the stock section of exhaust. The sound isn't too loud but purposeful and you get a few cracks on upshift (in Sport 2) and when auto blipping down. I like it because it looks tasteful but sounds great. On longer runs I have to wear ear plugs because it gives me a headache!
Great video, just found your channel, Ive just bought the same bike from Miles Kingsport but DTC and love it. Im thinking of just buying an end can mainly for the look but maybe a bit louder sound also. Hope to see you on the road soon, Regards- John G. 👍🏍🏍👍
Hi John and thanks for following my channel. Personally i like the look of the standard can but just wanted a bit more grunt. Unfortunately the full system I bought was too loud and also error codes popping up and I didn’t want to pay another £500 for an ecu flash. Have a look at my video here th-cam.com/video/BHiKQY1wVL0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qBDixCtQrA2EE_1Z about the Akrapovic exhaust. I’m now considering a Termignoni end can, it’s about £700 and looks amazing! If you see me at Seaway, give me a shout.
I've never understood the aftermarket exhaust thing. All it does is make the bike louder, run worse not better, attract the police and drain the rider's bank account. Not to mention how much more fatigue it adds to longer rides, even with earplugs. If you need more power, usually you're better off in the long run just getting a more powerful bike to start with.
Horses for courses, each to their own I suppose. Not all want a can for more BHP, personally for me I wanted a slightly deeper tone, nothing more. I own a 24 plate Fireblade too, now that’s a bike you don’t need to mess with as it has bags of BHP.
You can't "live" with an ECU warning about the exhaust as eventually your bike will go into a limp mode of some sort. You need to sort the lambda sensors if you ditch the Cat. You can't just leave it as it needs a different reading from each sensor, as this is used to adjust the injector air\ mix. A "re-mapping" will not fix the lambda sensor (FYI the post cat lambda is the problem), you'll need a physical doo-hicky to fake the reading. Research "decat".
I realised that hence the reason I took it off, couldn't be doing with extra expense of a remap. I like the stock can but just wanted a bit more grunt. I was looking at Termignoni end cans last night FFS, why can't i just leave the bikes stock lol. Please subscribe (if not already)
It was the ecu error codes that was the problem. I’ve just uploaded a new video here th-cam.com/video/vJTDnI0SX2U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xBKd1d16eLZxqrOK about the bike being put back to standard and I’m finished with modifying the bike yet here I am looking at Termignoni end cans 😂
Seriously? Of course you get a light. The emissions requirements say the bike has to monitor and comply with emissions, that is why the O2 sensors are there. Without a flash, you will have issues. Do your homework.
Ahhhh you didn’t watch the full video then. On the website that I bought from the description said ‘plug n play’ no mentioning of a flash. Trust me, I always research. Stop being such a Grumpy Old Rider 😂
@mid.bike.crisis Obviously you didn't because there isn't an aftermarket full system exhaust on the planet that is "plug and play" You need to remap the fueling period. You don't need to flash. Buy a Dynojet power Commander. Download the map. It's not rocket science.
@@awatts222ok explain how i haven't. I've removed the cat, replaced it with a straight section and replaced the muffler with what is effectively a straight pipe, as in you can look straight thru it. My O2 sensor is still there adjusting mixture at steady throttle when its in closed loop, and I'm actually running closer to stoichiometry with the open system on the factory map.

SC Project exhaust on my AT, sounds awesome!
I considered that but I think I’m going with Termignoni. What model is your SC?

Great watch James - loved the church ❤
I thought you’d like that. It was my first thought when I passed and knew you’d like it x

I’m tempted! New video could be coming soon 😜
If you want to see what the twin can do, have a look at richy Vida and his trip to morroco or the outer Hebrides.
Thanks mate, I’ll grab a cuppa and my iPad
The Hebrides series is the reason I couldn't resist buying one!

Is the Africa Twin good for a beginner ?
Seriously I’d say not, it’s quite a big bike and fairly heavy. I’d build some experience first. Have a look at the CB500X 👍

Wouldn't you get a more fruity sound just putting an end can on? The AT is a gorgeous bike unfortunately my legs won't allow it 😂
Yes it would work, I had a Fuel end can on my last AT and they sound decent to be fair.
Definitely makes more sense to just put a can on it. Half the money for a start. Plus what's the point in a decat on a an africa twin anyway? 😂
