People don't notice it but right now they are having a golden generation on their defense like no other. Cuti Romero, Gonzalo Montiel, Lisandro Martínez, Marcos Acuña and of course Emi Martínez. As long as these guys manage to play the next Cup, then I'd say their chances of winning again is a 60% just like 2022 was. Lautaro Martínez, Julián Álvarez and Nico Gonzales are already good enough forwards to maintain a good attack, especially if Messi is able to come in healthy unlike the last Copa America. Hell, you even got Paredes, Enzo Fernández, Tagliafico, MacAllister, all such good midfielders as well and young enough to keep playing at their best in 2026. In short, the team is so well structured and work so well alongside each other that they still have big chances of coming in hot once again, while also not forgetting the younger stars that will come later like Garnacho, Zenon and Almada.

That wasn't the reason, they didn't want him to play because he was badly injured from previous games. With or without them, he wouldn't have seen much minutes in that Final since Sabella didn't believe him being in form for it. He almost missed the 2022's Final but thankfully his injury was lighter
