Essentially, Flickshot, Holdshot, and Slingshot are all the same thing with minor differences but the important thing to know is that you dash in a direction, then flick the L Stick in the opposite direction at a 45 degree angle (Up or down works but I recommend down, especially if you have tap jump) and press jump. It's basically a macro that makes your character move backwards while maintaining dash momentum and I use it in this video to show how you can make punishing Out of Shield options consistent. If you want a full breakdown here's a link to a video by GimR detailing the whole thing th-cam.com/video/Rw1UURVYaN0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fzKKw-akF4zLs_za
In the first examples, you might be able to substitute the grab with a spot dodge bait by grabbing the metal blade during the flickshot and then use that for a possible punish. Metal blade despawn time is pretty inconsistent though.
The input itself is just a Shield Press followed immediately by an A press. I personally use Shield and Grab cause it works for me, and if you have trouble getting it down, start by pressing both A and Shield at the same time, and it usually works (for me anyway). If you want more info there's a useful short video on Airdrop by MelloGelo just search it on TH-cam if you're interested!
The input is simple I'd just say practice in training mode until you get it consistent. Then try to apply it in matches until you get the same consistency. If it helps, I usually input Airdodge and Grab simultaneously and it works consistently for me. You can also replace Grab with an A press if you feel it's easier
@@iannelson6777 dash cancel is simple to get the hang of as well. When metal blade is on the ground and you have leaf shield active, dash into it and let go of the L Stick to reset to neutal then press grab and you'll pick it up. Same deal there where you can practice in Training for consistency then apply in matches the same way. There's a useful tutorial on Leaf Shield Cancel by Team SciLab on TH-cam as well that shows off some more cancels
nice
You rly changed the meta bro slingshot is so fun & smooth
Can you describe what flickshot means
