As someone born and raised in Oakland, this chic is not from Oakland and this is the primary problem. Firstly, we have to stop voting in these people who are not from Oakland, because they don’t have any vested interests in Oakland. Secondly, we have to stop voting in people who don’t have the capacity to do basic governance. We vote too many people in office based on agendas and not on their ability to do their basic job such as running the business of a City.
