  • YOU… ARE… AN… IRONMAN! In this video I share my personal experience in becoming an IRONMAN while diving into the training regimen, mental fortitude, and overall challenges faced along the way. My purpose has always been to prove that you can accomplish your goals no matter how large the challenge appears to be and simply make things happen. As a Sports Medicine Physician I truly want to practice what I preach and show my patients that you can reach new heights. A lot of blood, sweat and tears were involved but I am extremely proud of where I am on this journey. Thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported this dream, I would not have been able to do this without you. Be sure to stay connected and follow me on Instagram, Facebook & TikTok. I am Doctor of Physical Therapy, and I completed my first Ironman here in Tempe as well in 2023. One of the main reasons I chose to complete a full ironman was exactly what you talked about. We can do hard things together with our patients. Love this so much!

For those thinking it takes years to do an Ironman, it doesn't. Don't listen to all the swinging dicks telling you it's some kind of monumental feat.Sure its epic, but you just need to put some hours together. I completed a hard Ironman course last year in my hometown. Trained for 8 months.Completed a half Ironman at month 5...simple as. I did start my 8 month programme with 3 months of x1 swim, x1 run, x1 spin class per week. I also like to gym so I would have been fairly fit gym wise before it. Everyone doubted if I could do it with only 1 half marathon under my belt...and that was 3 years prior..Im telling you right now with a low volume programme (avg 10 - 12 hrs per week) you can do it in a relatively short amount of time. The body adapts to what's expected of it.
