And btw? You can change the entire look of that sad floor by painting just the grout with primer. And you don’t even have to clean it first. I’d go with pale grey but you’re talented enough to get creative with color & it’d probably look designer when finished! 🤩

Grout paint helped me make my ugly shower tiles area look better. The grout was stained even though I cleaned with all kinds of cleaners even the industrial grout cleaner. Made it look new!
That door-feature is amazing! I haven't seen anyone else solve the boring-and-off-center issue so neatly and aesthetically! Beautiful!

Very creative ideas; love the new look! I am so happy that you didn't paint that gorgeous antique buffet ($100?!?!). I like the "backsplash." The bleed-through of the paint into the stripes gives it texture and keeps it from looking too perfect. Marty is an adorable helper and that painting that your little sister did of him is so wonderful! ❤

Hard no on rug/carpet in kitchen. Everything else looked amazing tho, loved the floating shelves, the 'marble' counters, and the painted backsplash.

The first video i watched of yours was the Lazy Girl Kitchen Makeover. I am a lazy, instant gratification DIYer, so Lazy Girl is what caught my eye! So now im a subscriber! I probably wouldn't have guessed it, but you're mighty handy with the power tools😉 ! I'm a DIY binge watcher so i try to watch several every day. You're very inspiring and talented and well, just plain funny! I laughed SO HARD when you showed us your body suit!😂😂😂😂. Hey, can you do a video using peel and stick wallpaper? I've been wanting to try it out. Thanks, Caroline, for the awesome decorating tips, inspiration and of course the laughs! We all need to laugh more! A fan in Texas.
Looks amazing!!! I had the same floors in my bathroom. I simply took some latex paint, slightly lighter than ,y tiles, and a small paintbrush, and painted the grout lines. Super cheap, and the floor looks clean now! Those dark grout lines always make you think the floor is dirty. You can take about a 1/4 cup of your wall paint as is, or just add the tiniest drop of brown to tone down the white, and there you go!
I would get paint specifically for grout or It'll come up faster . Latex is not made to stick to concrete which grout is.
@@ah5721 I painted my grout 9 years ago, and it hasn’t come up. Don’t forget, when you “paint” the grout lines, you aren’t using a ton of paint, you are basically staining the grout. The paint soaks into the grout, but leaves colour. It’s not like you are putting heavy coats of paint like on a wall. Try it, it works.

I just discovered your channel today, and I've been binge watching. I'm a little obsessed with you channel because you're doing things that maybe I could sort of do, too (as long as I don't do the stuff that involves saws of an type! Drills, screwdrivers, hammers, levels, etc I can handle, but NO SAWS! I need my fingers too much. I love this makeover...especially the view you see when you first walk in. Wow!!

The size and function are the most important if I were to DIY a desk.
Loved the way you treated the Dresser. It really added something to the bland kitchen and so much storage!!! The entire kitchen turned out rather well. I am not a fan of stick on for the counter but must admit it did elevate the kitchen.

Just found your channel and I love the makeovers and your humor. I have a tip for painting, so when using painters tape if you paint using the previous color then once that dries, going over with your new color it helps prevent bleeds! I look forward to more makeovers!!
I've been trying to find a little "bar" solution off the floor in my small apartment, and that kitchen door situation is the answer, I adore the wooden detail you've carried around the frame, it makes it pop like nothing i've ever seen.... love, love, love.

I like the imperfect stripes. It reminds me of birch trees without being obvious trees. Also, that lamp is ridiculously way better.
OH my word. I gotta tell ya. I own my house but I'm house poor and can't do one thing on it. Thanks for giving me some hope for this old ranch house. I have the worst countertops ever and made the mistake of painting them - NEVER do that. Just don't. I may try your idea with the contact paper. I don't think I could make it any worse. I do have open shelving - my cabinets are black, which I do like (to each their own, first thing I did when I moved here). I have that same ugly tile you have in my dining room. I feel your pain. I just found your channel today and it's like a GIFT at Christmas!
