Hey guys! For my first video, I've decided to do a Justin Bieber inspired hairstyle. Justin Bieber has been one of the more popular celebrities that people look to for hair inspiration in the last few years. With this hairstyle we're going for a messy slick back look, rather than the side swept look that a lot of people aim for.

hey man i know this video is super old but i’m growing my hair out to do this same type of style with my hair. I have really thick hair and it tends to only want to fall in the direction it grows, even when i slick it back it will start to fall to the side. I was wondering if your hair normally did the same thing and then stopped once it reached this length?

Nice hair! How did u achieve that long hair at the top part? I mean, u showed to the hairdresser a picture of the final form of the hairstyle u wanted and only u trimmed a little bit the top part and cut the sides to give it form?
And what is the color of the hair bleach? Platinum? Is It a bleach? And It doesn't damage your hair? just curiosity hehe
The haircut is a disconnected undercut, and I have a similar hairstyle, I bleached my hair twice and used toner and purple shampoo. And as long as you don’t leave the bleach in your hair for over an hour, it shouldn’t damage it. And also use a scalp protectant

Yes, the sides and neck are number 2. The top is close to 16 centimeters. (6.5-7 inches) Hope this helped!

May I ask how long did it take you to grow out for this length hairstyle? I wanna achieve this type until summer, but my hair only reaches the top of my ear so far.
It took me around 7-8 months to get it to the length it is. The longest it's ever been is around 9ish inches. I also used to trim it every so often to maintain it.
How do u grow ur hair out to 6 inches. I have like thick black hair. Is there a specfic haircut u need. Pls tell and gr8 video!

When it comes to the haircut, i get it cut by a barber, but i used to trim the top every 2-3 weeks to maintain it, i would cut about half an inch off. The Biggie Cheese It probably took me 7-8 months or so to grow out. I was also trimming it up every now and then to get rid of my split ends. I basically did a messy slickback hairstyle while growing it out!
What guard do you use for the sides ?
Typically a #2. I sometimes change it up though!
Do you have thick or thin hair? Because I want mine too be floppier so I can move it around and stuff. I don't like unfloppy hair. I'm using american crew grooming cream right now. What product would make it like that?
I have thick hair, it's also very dense, meaning I have a lot of it. If you want something that's movable, with a light hold, I find that Sponge Wax by Hanz De Fuko gives my hair a super light hold that's very pliable. Also if you haven't already, you can try American Crew Fiber. I used to use it and it gave my hair a light hold that was fairly movable (If I didn't apply too much product, of course.) That used to happen to me often, if you're doing a straight slickback, it's hard to keep it from parting unless you're using a pomade with high hold. If you do a messy slickback/look, try applying the product totally throughout your hair before setting it into place. I talk about this a bit in my latest video, a lot of guys are scared to mess up their hair after blow drying because the final product looks different. If you apply your product all through your hair, and against your roots, your hair will sit better (and with more texture) throughout the day and should prevent parting. You also may need to try a product with a higher hold as well if this doesn't help!

Thanks for the support man! As for the hair, it all depends how what color you're starting out with. Show your hair stylist a picture of what you want, or tell them you want it bleach blonde, they'll know best what to do. I started out with dirty blonde hair, and I think I bleached it once, and toned it twice. Or vise versa. It will damage your hair for sure if you need to bleach it, but nothing that a few products can't help restore!

This is exactly the hairstyle I've been looking for, but one question: do u know how long it took for your hair to turn that color? I want to try to get a better blonde because last time I did it it still looked brown
Thanks man! I actually got it done at a salon, so they knew obviously what they were doing, but if I'm correct, it was bleached once, and toned either once or twice. I can get back to you and let you know, but it took a total of 2-3 hours total (approximately) to get it done. Other than that, I've bought basically a "DIY" kit that I just do at home to clean up my roots. If you'd like, I can maybe post a video of how I touch up my roots. I've been really wanting to go back to my natural color, to get healthy hair again, but if people want to see that, I'd gladly do it! Let me know! Thanks for watching! - Trevor
Thanks man! I can always make a video on that topic, but just try to remember a few basic tips, don't shampoo your hair every day. I usually shampoo every 2-3 days. Try to use a conditioner if possible, or certain types of hair oils help as well. (argan oil, coconut oil, etc.) You can also try hair masks to help as well, they're healthy for your hair too.

Definitely! That's close to the same length that mine is! It also can depend on your head shape, you want your hair to fall just above your ear if you style you hair like this, so if you can, use that as a reference! Thanks for watching!

Thanks a lot man! My hair lays together pretty naturally, but if you use an oil that promotes healthy hair, and don't wash your hair too often, that helps a lot too!
How can i get your kind of smooth? I also have straight hair but not so, I wish I had them like you so you do not always touch them hahaha
You can always try using a hair straightener to straighten it out, that would definitely help!
