    Hi! I have this exact model. My old battery Energizer A23 died and stopped working recently after a few years, I replaced the battery with a Duracell 21/23. Same size and the red light works. But the garage won't open at all :( any idea why?

    Can you program the Multi code remote 4140 to working like the Doorking remote 8069-080

    • @nscommercialdoor
      @nscommercialdoor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, unfortunately you cannot program the multi code remote like the 8069-080 because they use two different protocols, Mega-Code is a older consumer tech while the DoorKing 8069-080 features the wiegand protocol which is highly encrypted and is designed for apartment complexes/gated communities and such as those. Sorry

    I'm guessing you have to know what the receiver on your DKS gate controller is before you make an order. My son is moving into an apartment building and they gave him a key to open the gate. It's a pain. He asked around and saw another tenant use a remote. That tenant said he was probably overcharged for it. I looked at the gate controller and the model number is 9100. Does that indicate to you which RF transmitter he should purchase or does he need the wireless receiver model as well? Thanks in advance.

      Hey Peter, to find out which remote is compatible we would need to know the model number of the receiver or if its easier you can ask the other tenant what model of the remote he has. The DKS receivers have a few types of protocols with their system which would be learn button but they also have proximity tags ( RFID ) and block coded so the remote will most likely have to be programmed by the management. I would first ask the management if they would program the remote if you bring one in and that way you can purchase the proper remote and have it programed without hassle. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions you can always ask here or on our website www.northshorecommercialdoor.com Thanks and have a great day.

    How can I utilize the remote control door opener capability built into my car (there ar three buttons on the bottom of the rear view mirror for that purpose) by TRANSFERRING the capability of the 8069 fob (which I have) into the memory of the car's mirror buttons?

    • @nscommercialdoor
      @nscommercialdoor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Walt, the answer for now would be " Possibly " it depends on what kind of tech is built in. Can you please let me know year make and model of the car i can take a look. But to explain for now, there are quite a few technologies and protocols ( MegaCode, Security+, Rolling code, ect...) out for garage door openers and even with the tech it also has to match the frequency. So you would have to find out what tech your garage door opener uses and then you can see if your cars remote is compatible.

      @@nscommercialdoor 2019 Genesis G90 with three "remote control activation" buttons along the base of the rear view mirror. My remote control fob, which operates the garage gate as well as several proximity activated pedestrian gates is labeled: 'microplus8069 318MHz AWID 8069-082 FCC ID: LSD69T IC:736A-69T'. Any guidance you could provide would be appreciated. THANKS!

      @@waltroseberry9712 Very nice car I must mention! The Genesis along with most other cars use a transmitter called HomeLink which is compatible with many residential garage openers and gates however per the remote specifications it will not be compatible. The Doorking MicroPlus series uses AWID which is highly encrypted and typically used in commercial application and apartment / condo/ gates community locations which are controlled by their management. Sorry for the news but if you need an extra remote or anything else we offer please feel free to ask! Hope you have a great day.

      @@nscommercialdoor Thanks for your response. Disappointing, but consistent with what I expected. I do live in a commercial condo community and others who live here (with current autos) tell me that the issue is complex and related to the type of security system we have in our community. Unfortunate, but that's life, I guess. More secure but less flexible. Thanks again.
