      How do you feel about the Mackie Onyx 2.1? I’m not finding any connectivity tutorials for this particular interface and I’d purchased one…

    I just discovered your channel today and this is probably my 3rd video. And I have learned so much. Straight to the point, zero BS, no unnecessary bg soundtrack. Subscribed!
    I also had a query - I have a Blue Yeti usb mic and an Epiphone acoustic guitar (without any pickup/output). I also have Edifier speakers that take Coax, RCA and Optical inputs. What would be the simplest way to use the speakers to listen to real time guitar output from my Blue Yeti? Is it even possible? Any pros&cons?
    Thanks!

    great video. I want HTPC home theatre consisting of 11.4.6 dolby atmos configuration
    17->Neumann KH 420 speakers
    4-> JTR 4000ULF subwoofers
    What USB audio interface you recommend for the above setup. Thanks in advance

    Thank you, Jordan for yet another great review. Considering the size of the Yamaha speakers (which I love because of the true representation of sound) what size would you recommend for small room, placed close to walls - HS5, HS7 or maybe even HS8? I’m upgrading from a Mackie CR-3

    • @kettnercreative
      @kettnercreative  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I went with the HS5 because my desk space is at a premium. I’m really happy with them.

    Is it better to use an audio interface for live plying eg acoustic and singing to minimise Interference and increase quality ?

    I want to get some speakers now but I can’t get an audio interface for another month. Should I buy the speakers and use them directly with my computer, or should I wait to buy an audio interface so as to not damage the speakers in the meantime?

    Is there any way to play passive/stereo speakers out of an m audio interface without using an amp? Using the Power of the computer itself or something else? OR - is there a connector which allows you to play passive/stereo speakers straight out from the computer? Thanks--

    I have a new mini pc with an interface and no monitors in a booth. Just headphones with one xlr mic. I notice some noise and it seems to happen when the pc is doing doing things like running a LAN speedtest. Its a wired Internet connection. It doesn't seem normal.

    First off, great video! Is it possible to run a stereo headphone jack to 2 balanced quarter inch connections (instead of to 2 unbalanced as you showed in the example) to then get rid of interferance?

    • @paulthiebaut
      @paulthiebaut ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because your jack input signal is stereo, it is already unbalanced so using 2 balanced connections after it won't fix the issue, the resulting signal will be unbalanced whatever you do. You'll always need an additional conversion hardware (like an audio interface) to balance the signal.

    First off, great video. I just purchased a pair of KRK speakers that I need to connect to my tascam US 600. I can’t seem to find TRS to RCA cables, the tascam only excepts RCA to connect speakers. Since I can only find TS to RCA cables, is that OK or do you recommend me searching deeper for TRS to RCA cables? Not even sure if TRS to RCA cables even exist.

    Is there any way for me to run studio monitors thru my soundblasterx g6 audio interface?

    The reason why I don’t want to get an interface I was interested in getting the Apollo twin but it’s so complex and so complicated. I’m not sure. I’ll be successful. I’m still learning ableton live 12 and I wanna focus on that because the interface is like a whole Nother world. It’s too much information for me all at once. It’s like you have to learn a whole Nother ecosystem. Then you have to use the keyboard and learn that too. It’s too much I want to focus on learning the program first, and have it in some speakers rather than my laptop

    Question: can I use the headphone jack of an Audio Interface and connect via a TRS cable to a SINGLE Studio Monitor and get the full stereo output into that one monitor? Would most appreciate knowing that!

    • @kettnercreative
      @kettnercreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The short answer is no. If you use a TRS cable, it would be taking Unbalanced Stereo from the headphone jack. The input on the studio monitor is balanced mono.
      It would ignore the right output of the headphone jack since it's in-phase with the left input.
