    What is the maximum depth that can be reached with this equipment?

    • @sphengineering
      @sphengineering  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The maximum depth reach depends on the type of GPR and other factors, such as the type of soil.
      More information and penetration estimates can be found here: www.sphengineering.com/integrated-systems/technologies/gpr#typical-applications

      We have newer GPR model Zond Aero LF, it is suitable for scans up to 8-10m in rocky areas.

    What was the weight of the drone with and without the GPR?

      Drone in this video is DJI M600 Pro, and it is not manufactured anymore. We may propose modern system for DJI M350 RTK or M300 RTK drones.

    Bro this just made me cry.. I'm a part 107 pilot searching for missing persons and I have a few possible ground disturbances how can I contact whoever has developed this I need your help. this is an answer to a prayer, I'm not a praying man but it's got to that point where maybe praying might be real and trying it put. Maybe there is a God. HELP!

    Excellent work, question, what is the minimum hight the drone has to be flying to detect the leakage, in the video is 7 meters of hight, isn't that too low, especially with the FAA laws? does it work on a hight of 100 meters?

    • @sphengineering
      @sphengineering  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This current video presents the application of GPR+drone system to locate underground pipes.
      For Methane leak detection it is required to use the integrated drone system with one of two methane detectors. Currently, the system is compatible with two methane sensors provided by PERGAM: the LMC DL and Falcon. The system (setup, tech-specs etc) is presented during the webinar: th-cam.com/video/lh8brM31Aqs/w-d-xo.html
      More detailed information is published on industrial.ugcs.com/methane-detector.
      Check out also the video on the methane leak detection with the system: th-cam.com/video/AwkGoZ2akmk/w-d-xo.html
      For more detailed information, please send a message to ugcs@ugcs.com!

    Can the depth of interest be calibrated to detect other underground parameters? I am curious if this could be used to estimate the real-time soil moisture status of a given area? Since this could penetrate to the soil surface and not be as influenced as spectral measurements from the crop canopy in question? Just a curious thought.

    • @alexey-sph-engineering
      @alexey-sph-engineering 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Travis, I saw some papers describing the methods of soil moisture content estimation using GPR with an elevated antenna. At least a couple of universities ordered our systems for experiments on that matter.

    Question. Whats the limits of this technology’s capabilities? Whats roughly the smallest things they could detect, and what materials show up best?

    • @alexey-sph-engineering
      @alexey-sph-engineering 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A very rough estimate of the size of the detectable object - the size of its horizontal surface should be bigger than 10% of the distance between antenna and object. Also, size should be bigger than 1/2 of the length of the EM wave in the medium surrounding the object. These rules are valid for "point" objects, for linear objects (pipes and cables), empty plastic pipes, voids (or empty radio-transparent objects like plastic canisters) there will be more considerations. Material - there should be big enough dielectric contrast between material and surrounding medium.

    Hallo there,
    I am currently sourcing a GPR unit for use in an uneven basalt substrate. Specifically for the location of gas pockets. Could you please direct me to a suitable model for this. Thank you.

      Link to paper on detection of land mines. Center frequency differs to the device in video, but UgCS has two more radars for DJI drones with different center frequencies.

    What's the smallest thing can it find?

    • @sphengineering
      @sphengineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It very depends on many factors: the object material, object's depth, soil, vegetation (how low the drone can fly); drones speed and of course - used sensor. UgCS Integrated Systems enable integrations with at least 6 GPR types integrated.ugcs.com/gpr#how-it-works and other sensors: Metal Detector integrated.ugcs.com/drone-based-metal-detector-em61lite, Magnetometers integrated.ugcs.com/magarrow-uas-deployable-magnetometer and integrated.ugcs.com/magnetometer-drone and also Echosounder for Bathymetric surveys integrated.ugcs.com/bathymetry.
      For more detailed discussion on your application scenario, please send a message to ugcs@ugs.com or fill in the form integrated.ugcs.com#contact-us.
